Hallo everyone
I couldn't really Find a thread on this, maybe I didn't look hard enough. I play mostly 5.Ed pen and paper at the moment, and I was wondering what is the counters to the different skills.
Skill: Move silently ; Counter Skill: Listen.
But when it comes to Bluff, Persuade; intimidate; all of these RP tools to interact with other PC. What are the counters people use to counter these rolls?. is it intelligence or wisdom ? and if yes.. when which one ?
In 5.Ed you have the Insight skill to counter any of these skills.

I've seen Bluff used as a counter to Bluff, on the basis that you can't Bluff a Bluffer.
But depending on what you were trying to bluff I suppose the opposing skill could change, e.g. a disguise bluff against spot etc.

But depending on what you were trying to bluff I suppose the opposing skill could change, e.g. a disguise bluff against spot etc. It makes good sense with the statement you can't BS, a BS'er. But in the case of one PC (BS'er) lying to another PC (Not a BS'er) and using the bluff or pursuade, would you then counter it with an intelligence roll to see if you can detect it ? I can see it is highly circumstantial. like if it is lying on a history thing you could try to counter it with Lore Ï guess. Mmm Guess there is no one real answer to it.
