A single letter is left upon the alter at the Shrine of Malar. It is sealed with a shimmering arcane symbol, an opened green emerald eye. Along side it as a fully grown T-Rex head, recently severed. Its life blood seeping to cover the stone it and the letter sit upon.
"High Huntsmaster of Suzail,
I trust the Stag Hunt this past harvest season was a splendid display of Malar’s wisdom and might. With your aid, I would seek to show the people of the Western Reach this very wisdom.
If you are not aware, the conflict over the last few years has left the Western Reach’s farmlands ruined. Their own harvest is expected to be sparse and bare. With the onset of the winter months famine and starvation are assumed to be rampant, save for some miracle. Hundreds who have proven their might in combat, war and the eternal struggle of living will now find a meager and unworthy undoing. Their light snuffed out by the cold and with little more than a whimper. Those young who showed promise and strength will never rise to take part in the Beastlord’s Hunts. The fight sapped from them while Auril lulls them to a bitter eternal rest.
Knowing this, I have thought to stem the tide and provide opportunity for the young to thrive and outlast this winter. The Gargoyle Citadel will be hosting a great Hunt for the people of the Western Reach. We will be inviting some of the greatest of warriors Cormyr has to go out with those still proving their strength to hunt down beasts worthy of Malar’s praise. The rewards of which will then be given to the young so that they might truly grow to reach their potential.
It is my hopes that you might show the people of the Western Reach the wisdom of Malar’s way and assist the Gargoyle in hosting this Hunt. Your experience on the matter would prove most invaluable and perhaps it will ensure a new generation of hunters reach their potential.
Should you deem this Hunt as a matter worthy of your attention, then I ask that you send word to the Gargoyle Citadel upon the Ashen Isle. We can arrange a meeting of delegates to ensure the Beastlord is proud of this off season Hunt.
