*A man dressed in casual clothing and hood is seen across the lands wandering in to inns and taverns. After approaching the inn keep, he orders himself a room. Shortly after, a minstrel is seen coming from the rooms of the establishment dressed in a gambeson draped with a tunic adorned with the colors of Lord Giogi’s house and an open faced helm. The man sports a thick amount of red paint upon his face. After going to the barkeep, he orders a round for all in the respective tavern then proclaims for all to gather around and makes a quick spectacle outside in order to gather more ears, in a loud commanding voice he begins a mocking interpretation of Lord Giogi.*
Gather one gather all, Lord Giogi, shall provide you with drink and a tale of my recent deeds. For I am a generous and ever giving ruler within these lands.
*With a flourish of his cloak, he reveals a stringed instrument with which he quickly begins to play a jolly tune to keep the gathered crowd interested*
The crown would not could not see,
An extended life to be,
As a means to royalty,
And so kept their dignity,
Hey ta-ti ho ta-di hey,
Best not question Lord Giogi,
A curse t’was placed upon me,
Yet all lordlings left it be,
I kept my authority,
All my land and realty,
Hey ta-ti ho ta-di hey,
Best not question Lord Giogi,
Matthias lived centuries,
Sister used necromancy,
Cursed by a chaos puppy,
Brought to them longevity,
Hey ta-ti ho ta-di hey,
Best not question Lord Giogi,
Matthias brought an army,
Sembians and villainy,
Claimed Marrister’s lands to be,
As his lands to sovereignty,
Hey ta-ti ho ta-di hey,
Best not question Lord Giogi,
A judge I was meant to be,
A curse I could not leave be,
As a means to take realty,
Or I might lose all to thee,
Hey ta-ti ho ta-di hey,
Best not question Lord Giogi,
Lets ignore my duality,
Leave the Sembian army,
*As he finishes his song he performs yet another flourish of his cloak and bows to the gathered crowd.*
Were you all so kind, word of my generous deeds may spread, and perhaps generosity would be shown to those loyal to Cormyr rather than questionables with Sembian soldiers.
*The minstrel quickly retires to his room and is not seen again within the inn, likely to have used magic in order to leave unseen. Written copies of the song are left in common bardic gatherings and near minstrel shows leaving small amounts of coin for performers to find.*
