Hey is there a way to have your familiar go into stealth mode when you do? I thought that it was possible in the Single player version, but I cant remember how. (or maybe I dreamed it all)
cause it seems kinda silly to have a familiar with stealth ability and they cant use it unles syou posess them.

It is not possible. They changed the AI in HotU, I believe, so that familiars and henchmen (Deekin, in my case) use stealth when you do, but the AI change doesn't seem to carry over into multi-player.
I would love to see the shadowdancer's shadow enter stealth when the shadowdancer does. It's silly that the shadowdancer can hide but his shadow (an incorporeal being, by the book rules, that can hide IN solid objects) cannot.

With the ranger/druid and sorceror/wizard familiars, isn't it possible to give commands that tell them, only to follow you, stay close, don't use magic, enter stealth? I thought that to be the case or is this like the above auto stealth, thrown out the window in multiplayer?

A wizard can possess his familiar and make it hide.

Just so I understand, we druids are not supposed to be journeying with our companions then? Cause I know if taran goes off by himself he'll get mauled without that wolf muscle to back him up, and he's pretty high level. But if this is a problem I guess I'll have to figure something out. And isn't it the same thing with extended summons? cause they last forever too. I'm asking because there's not always people on with my playing schedule that I can/taran wants to party with, and that doesn't leave much options for places to go if he's stuck without ephion. I appreciate any advice y'all. see you ig.

In the meantime there is nothing wrong with you using your familiar.
