Hello to all!
I'm a newcomer to the shores of FRC, and I very much enjoyed what I've seen so far. I like to think of myself as an RP-oriented player (if that corresponds to the truth is a whole different matter), although I admit that on the first days I logged on I explored a little bit around Isinhold and re-spawned a couple of times, in order to have a first impression - to catch a glimpse of the server's style, so to speak. It takes some time to get to know people and so on, so I guess that opportunities for good RP will come naturally.
I'm used to playing on another server where characters stop receiving combat XP after the 6th level, dead PCs must have their bodies carried to a priest by their friends and get raised, otherwise death is permanent, there are virtually no magical items around, and someone, say, at level 12 is a really high-level character. So I came to FRC to satisfy my frustrated lust for levels and items! Er... no, not really - just kidding. What I'm trying to say is that I truly appreciate the emphasis on RP that I've encountered reading through this forum.
But I actually do have a question regarding the guilds, so here it goes: where do I find some specific information about joining them? I would like to know if there are minimum level requirements, alignment or racial restrictions, and if there are people who should be sought IC to discuss the joining process. And it would be nice to be able to read something about each guild's purposes. I looked over the forum and learned a few things, like, for example, that a player can have only one PC in any guild at a time, but I didn't find the information described above. So, if someone showed me where to find it, I would appreciate it a lot. I'm more interested in the Purple Dragons, to say the truth, but I would enjoy to learn about the others too.
