A larger man, stern and broad. Wearing piece mail and a heavy cloak, a horizontal scar under his right eye. Flanked on both sides by men no less in stature enter into Great Gaunt and immediately split up. "Scar" can be seen and heard asking about a woman named Calais. He is willing to pay for any information on her. And lets people know that she is dangerous, and has a high bounty on her head.

He presents himself unimpressed by the mans stature and displays. "What has she done that makes her a danger? Riddle me this and perhaps you will find her." The mans tone is cocky, suggestive, even a bit dark.

She whispered to herself. *she watches Fenix approach him, still quietly observing from afar.*

Having just returned from the small village from her past has put her extremely on edge. The human woman, Kathrina, that helped her all that time ago still lived. She was a widow now. He did that. The daughter Calais tried to help that day, she had been slain sometime after Calais had slipped off. He did that as well… After everything that had happened. Her hand automatically shifts low flattening against her stomach briefly and she sighs, her thoughts traveling dangerously backward before she grits her teeth, trying to shake the thoughts from her head.
He was looking for her. I should’ve moved on long ago. I never should have stayed here this long. Made friends, people I care for again. Now everyone would be in danger, and it was all her fault. Again.
She mentally berates herself as she walks along the path leading to Greatgaunt. Her leather boots crunch softly in the loose dirt of the road.
Her mind travels back over the things Kathrina told her. He and his men had been there, asking many questions about Calais. Searching every home there, searching for any clue if she still remained. Any clue showing where she had gone, and when he found no trace, when no one would give him the answers he sought, he turned his anger on the woman and her town. She still bore the blackened eye and bruised face from his anger when Calais traveled back to them. She sighed again, rubbing her hand across her face in frustration. The debt she owed this woman was something she could never repay. The kindness she and the others of the small village had shown her, she did not entirely understand it. In her eyes, the one time she -should- have helped, she wasn’t able to. And after all they had done, as soon as she was healthy enough to move, she fled in the night.
Maneuvering through the buildings of town quietly, her eyes darting about at the shadows and rustling leaves of the trees. She slows her steps, her boots no longer making a noise and she hears the voices of Greatgaunt. One voice in particular causes her to halt dead in her tracks. She flattens herself against the building. She goes pale as a sheet, her heart constricts, hand flying to her chest she can feel it pounding there beneath it. Frozen in absolute fear for a long moment she hears his voice as he addresses those around.
“Dangerous… High bounty..” The words reverberate through her head as they echo between buildings. She darts around the corner finally, ducking into the nearest shop. She jerks a pair of dark longpants and shapeless button down shirt from their hangers, a dark cloak and mask as well, tossing the coin and some extra to buy his silence she hoped.
Quickly she tugs them on and stuffs everything else in her bag. She ties her long blonde hair back, under the hood and the small dark mask across her face before pulling the cloak down low covering her eyes. The panic threatens to overwhelm her and It takes her several minutes to compose herself enough to ease back out the door.
“Please don’t let anyone recognize me. Please don’t let them recognize me” She whispers to herself before she eases the door open, glancing around as she steps back through it. She has to force herself not to run, taking even measured steps as she goes to head back out of town. Her eyes flicker to those about town, and she nearly buckles when she finally lays eyes on him again.
Flashes of that awful night flit through her memories as she continues her slow journey down the road. Her hand twitches under her robe, gripping the handle of her bow before sliding to the wickedly curved blade at her thigh, eyes moving to, and lingering at the scar just beneath his eye.

A man in dragon scale plate walks up to the man and says "How much is the bounty, what is she wanted for, and who wants her." "I could use the gold right now, so maybe I'll help, if you have some proof of what you say".

A red haired woman bearing a symbol of Tyr prominently around her neck seems a little taken aback by the man's response. She says, "Then perhaps we don't have the authority to share what information we might know. We need to give to get. What did she do? Who put out the bounty? Is it sanctioned by the Crown?"

"If you wish to know where I hide her, you will find yourself more informing than such. When you have answers for me, I will for you. I can be found at the Silver Wink in Waymoot."

*Daphne's hand lifts slightly, drawing runes into the air in front of her subtly, a magical tone ringing in her ears...*
"Calais, a man seeks you. I'm of aid, sister." the words spoken in her mind in hope Calais would hear her voice. She waits patiently, leaning against the tree once again, watching silently.

"I dont have the authority to say what she has done. Just know I need to find her.”
She continues her path, her steps quiet, hoping to continue to go unnoticed.
“Find me… Not if I can help it” She thinks, her mind racing to a thousand possible outcomes. Racing to where she would go next, racing to fleeing this area, to thoughts of leaving Cormyr for good. If only she hadn’t made those promises. Promises of at least saying goodbye first if she were to have to leave… If not for that, she would break through those gates now and disappear from this place forever. Even then… He had managed to track her here, she wasn’t sure shed ever be able to escape him.
"Then perhaps we don't have the authority to share what information we might know. We need to give to get. What did she do? Who put out the bounty? Is it sanctioned by the Crown?" She didn’t lift her gaze as the redhead spoke.
She hears Fenix snort, “"If you wish to know where I hide her, you will find yourself more informing than such. When you have answers for me, I will for you. I can be found at the Silver Wink in Waymoot.” And she can picture the utter disdain that would cross his features. She only hoped his words and expression did not incense the man.
Daphne’s words ring in her ears and bring her pause for a brief moment, but she continues on. She refuses to bring anyone else into the middle of things if she can help it. All these people, this village, everyone here was in danger because of her. This was why she kept nearly everyone at arm’s length. This was why she nearly hated herself now for allowing a choice few closer than she should. She did not want anyone putting themselves in harms way because of her.
“Almost there…” She thinks to herself as she rounds the corner. She eyes the gate long at the end of the road, heading towards Valkurs Roar.

A hooded figure in muted and travel worn leathers, longbow in hand and a longsword at his hip calmly watches the scene from his perch on one of the many overlooks in Greatgaunt. Moving quietly, he would move and shadow Calais, his steps making little sound. He predicts her path and lopes off towards the other end of the settlement where he pauses by the wooded border between The Bramblewood and Greatgaunt. He whistles low.
A shaggy Brown Bear, not far shy of six feet in height, pads up quietly after a few brief moments pause, as if already ready and waiting his call.
"Raran. Keep her safe. I'm going to keep an eye on her from behind and see if anyone follows her."
The Bear nuzzled his hand and quickly bounded off, circling around the outskirts of town. The hooded figure watched the Bear for a moment, then turned his gaze back to Calais as she made her way to the gate beneath him.
"What trouble are you in, Calais?" He made to move to greet her unthinking, then paused. She was not covering her tracks. He could follow easily if needed and so could anyone else. He wanted to make sure no one else was following her. He moved to a more shaded spot, to keep out of sight. If they did start to follow, he could at least try to lead them astray. If that failed, he would be there to try and protect her. His bow began to glow with energies not natural, glowing hot and cherry red.

The sleek form of a tidy elf rests, unseen by all but the keenest of observers, in the branches of a fruit tree across from the caravan. What she watched for was wholly different, yet these men caught her attention. More adventurers? Perhaps, but for the way they split up immediately, as if in concert with one another...
She makes note of the faces, the look of the men, before she slips just as quietly into town, weaving behind the buildings and standing to listen where she might go unnoticed. After the exchange, she would try to track the man and see where he goes for a time, with any luck catching where he finds lodging before going about her own business, drifting toward the docks in Suzail.

The man looks to the two men who approached him and grins wide. "I dont have the authority to say what she has done. Just know I need to find her." Seamus says "Your words are hollow. Cormyr is a land of laws, you'll find yourself with a bounty on your own head if you try and take a person without a lawfull order." At that he turns and walks off.

A woman walks up as seamus speaks and she wears a surcoat of green for adventurers with the wreath and sword in the center. On her back is the black cloak with the purple dragon. A tower shield with the symbol of Torm upon her back, "Cormyr is indeed a land of laws. If she has committed a crime, You will need to report it. Placing bounties upon the heads of others to drag them off without going through the law will make you a criminal yourself and you will find it hard to have success without backing of the law." She points down to the red ravens, "there is where you must report if you wish to be lawful in this town. The capital if you wish all cormyr. know that until you have complied with the law and if she is attacked, I will protect her as I am sworn to the crown to help defend the law. Should you take this to Valkur's Roar and repeat the bounty, I will have the guards arrest you for illegal bounty for there, I have the full authority." She displays her pins as inquisitor of the Roar.

He nods some, hardly listening to each as they speak, he seems more concerned with whats around him. Looking around, and past the speakers.
"Alright, seems Ive made a mistake. And should have brought proper papers with me. I will return with them in a Tenday."
He turns for the caravan, and boards.
Alone.

Slate looks around to all the others gathered in the area and speaks.
"So, I wonder what it is she did to get a bounty on her head. I'm guessing she's one of those assassin elves we see so often coming through the town. Or maybe she stole a family heirloom from the guy, like those thief elves who double as assassins we see so often coming through the town. Anyone else want to start placing fun-bets on what she did?
Hope the guy comes back with a legitimate bounty. Should make for a good show in town. Right now all we've got is Frubo's crummy self."

"Possibly said no to someone with ego to not accept no. The thayans did the same thing once to send out bounty hunters to get them to capture and enslave person for them. The fact is that no bounty is valid unless done through the law and since the man left but I didn't see his two companions with him, keep an eye out for them since I suspect they might be planning attack and kidnapping." Morgaine moves through town to look for them.

"Well if its the Thayans, don't expect the Crown to do anything to stop it. They've been operating through the area like they own the place. If that's the case, its a really valid bounty!"

She follows along at a distance, watching as he boards the caravan and lets out a breath. A tenday, he said hed return. That didn’t give her much time. She takes a last glance around the town, after noticing nothing else amiss, she ducks through the gates heading down the roads towards Valkur’s Roar. She leaves her hood up, glancing around as she goes, her body language reflecting how on edge she is. She jumps as she hears a branch snap, swinging her bow around in the direction of the noise. The deer crashes through the brambles, fleeing in the opposite direction and she lets out a small nervous laugh. She passes a hand across her face, and stuffs some of the stray blonde hair back beneath her hood before continuing down the road.

The hooded figure, hisses low upon seeing two of the three circle about the town. He makes to move to actually intercept, but for a brief moment he is once again concerned by how distraught Calais seems and his gaze drops back to her retreating figure. His gaze flicks back up from her to the men but they are gone. He curses his lack of attention and makes a decision to follow her at a distance, knowing that Raran is also keeping an eye on her from a different angle. As he does follow her, he makes extra efforts to keep unseen, falling back when needed out of eyesight and using her tracks at various stages where he has no cover.
