I heard not long ago about a Divine Intervention working. Don't discount them yet. Here's hoping they do, otherwise them deities have a terrible sense of humor. "I raise you faithful servant!… *divinly intervenes* just kidding" to add to lame death, that happens to me :P its like a deity kicking their cleric in da nuts It's not just clergy that get divine interventions. To riff on the poem/prophecy from The Wolfman*: Any character who is pure of heart, and says devout prayers day or night, may be the recipient of divine intervention when having just died in a fight. * Any man who is pure of heart, and says his prayers by night, may become a wolf when the wolfsbane blooms and the moon is full and bright.

James died once from this swapping out his gear in the first room on the left of the Wailing Wheel Inn. Innovily stumbled into me and raised me. Should work for the bard song too. For a bard without healing it's like "never stop singing or you will die" :D (rhymed it) P.S. Perhaps that's the explanation of Frubo's maniacal depressiveness and his constant residence with his "only tonight" concerts in GG. Bardsong doesn't stack with itself or extend an existing song's duration. A bard can't actually Bardsong again for HP until the previous HP bonus has worn off. The bard and affected allies are immune to all additional Bardsong while affected by Bardsong. This means you really want your higher level bard to sing first if you have two in the party, or the low-level bard's Bardsong will prevent the higher level bard's Bardsong from working. Because a bard is also affected by their own Cursesong while singing it (it does stack with Bardsong so they can sing both at once), if two Cursesong bards attack each other, the one who gets off their Cursesong first is immune to the other's Cursesong.

THere was an actual story. Keldrin Towerbuilder, a paladin, after an epic battle with an orc chief, with only few hp's remaining, marched all way to Greatgaunt just to die near the gates from removal the additional hp spell. Greets Fint Ps.Darn thought this was the off-topic fun

I remember when things used to wander a bit at random, so when you stabilized you had a chance. Now they just kinda corpsecamp you and smack you again the moment you're awake.

Anyway...My list,,,,well pretty extensive, On Ami...I got pulled away from my computer so I used the stealth button and went to a pace I already killed everything...took like 6 mins tops right...come back and I am dead with orcs standing around me...this would have upset me more if it wasn't for the fact that they were all standing around me in a complete circle and I somehow moved away from the cliff I was standing next to...I thought hmmm DM must be messing with me...waited, and waited......respawn....not even 25 mins later I walked into an area with more orcs...pulled away again...come back....dead again....same situation, except I was actually able to see how I was moved...auto attack ...evidently when they run past you and you get the Opportunity attack if the opponent continues to run you will chase them...I sat down...grabbed the mouse started to heal kit...critted to death. Soooo yea for me! *Elfy hugs*

That's assuming the stuff can't see you in stealth. I learned that lesson on the server I played on before FRC. My character back then used to carry a sling just so I didn't break invisibility by AoO.

My character back then used to carry a sling just so I didn't break invisibility by AoO. Stealth mode actually stops AoO's from happening due to ranged weapon fire at you up close or something running past with terrible tumble, invisibility doesn't. That said if something spots you while you are in stealth mode and attacks you, you will "generally" auto engage back, breaking stealth and letting everything attack you that hadn't previously seen you. It's still a great tip for when just invisible, though you can also enter stealth mode while invisible (they do not get a spot check [without see invis/trueseeing] only a listen check, you also vanish every round if you are heard through stealth while invisible [not so useful for AI as the AI doesn't attack through invis on a listen check, but useful for hiding from players or just stopping auto retaliate]). Side note, generally speaking Amilith generally has a bow equipped, I don't even know if he owns a melee weapon ! FM.

I don't die, too pro for FRC. But seriously I don't remember many real derp moments on my half, but maybe I've got selective memory. I guess there was one time in PvP Dreshae thought it'd be smart to group up with the others... to get hit everyone hit by implosion, that was fun. *Shake fist* Eranin ran into Savoie's super sneaky ninja stealth lizard on a recent Volunteer Muster, in her desperate attempt to colour spray like... 4 kobold slingers. It sneak critted her for over her max HP, splat. I guess in hindsight I deserved that

Being drowned by your summoned water elemental. Happened to Awa'eth Yeah, this reminds me of this one time Reaper (Kori) summoned that solar with that prismatic spray spell. Its opening attack was to use that magic. Of COURSE it rolls the death option of the spell (tooooooooooooootally random) and kills me (I believe the target made its save). I think these summons have ulterior motives sometimes.

Went afk in the tunnel near shallybrook to make a drink. Came back to find Elith dead. A rothe standing proudly nearby. And everyone laughs and says rothe aren't vicious nor carnivorous ... I knew it wasn't true! (I love this one)

The rothe was probably just aspiring to become an adventurer and practising. Do we need an area on the server called "The bowels of a rothe"?

Doing GG orcs with a new character, lure one orc and notice he can only hit me with a 20, so easy win! only to immediately see him roll two 20s to crit and confirm with a x3 multiplier weapon that one shots me into the negatives.
I call that one getting Oberyned.

Ariean's lame death is one and the same with 2 variations.
1) She's being chased by a critter and for some reason the critter is running a tiny bit faster, or has a long enough reach to hit at her over and over till she dies. And she has no time to quaff potions (neither healing nor invisibility)
2) I try to gamble on an invisibility, and she gets killed while quaffing it down...

#1 is a lame death in a more literal sense? #3) you don't use you potion because you have lots of invis spells left, and then you die because normal casting takes longer than saying "gulp" (and/or your concentration gets broken)

This lame death award is a real life lame death award. This one goes out to my Razer BlackWidow 2013 edition. Oh Razer, it is so sad that your latest firmware update has corrupted my device. I searched and toiled for hours trying to think of a way to restore this corruption. Alas it became apparant that my device was dead. I did find a fix howevor... I fixed the keyboard in a way to which the firmware can never trick or harm any innocent gamers again. Lame death award goes to The Razer BlackWidow 2013 keyboard and its ridiculous firmware update... Attachments:

His two companions dead, out of scrolls, in the heart of King's Forest. Hiding and making past all the trenants and bugs to a safe cave where Koro could rest.
Prepared invisibility spells, eat some berries, heading out...
Forgot to actually _cast_ invisibility, went further on instead of turning back.
Oh, chicken? Turned to stone. Cockatrice.

Just died XD. .
I was on one of my alts, a lowbie of level 9 atm, just pluckin my way through a cyrpt with my stone golem at my side. Everything was going fine. . .
I opened a door and saw three warrior skellies inside so I pushed the golem into the door way to take the blunt of the damage while I poked my great sword at the skellies from a safe distance behind my golem.
And than it happened. . .
The door suddenly decided it wanted to be shut so it swung closed out of no where. . I have no idea why it shut, but that was the trigger to the horrible event that followed.. .
As the door shut I was sucked into the room with the skellies and my golem sucked back to where we came from on the other side of the door leaving me alone and without help. To make matters worse the sucking vortex of the door that drug me across the screen provoked some attacks of opportunities from the skellies wielding great swords. . .
two of the skellies rolled natural 20's at the same time which brought me from full life to instant death no bleed out. . .
Such horrible luck I had to laugh at the ridiculousness of it all XD.
Really wasn't that big a deal though as I only lost about 800 xp and 500 gold. Both of which can be made in 30 mins so whatever. On the plus side the npc healer in gg where you respawn sold me such lowly discounted goods that I spent 3k-ish and probably saved well over 1k gold.
Crazyness, -Calliope
