*The following occurred in early Kythorn, the Year of Bent Blades*
In Alazarin Academy, before a hall of proud parents and mentors, a collection of young men and women stood, resplendent in their red, black and white uniforms. In front of the gathered students stood a lightfoot hin in golden mithril and his trademark black mask, and a young moon elf with dark red wings. The somber looking half dragon spoke.
"Esteemed nobility of Marsember, respected citizens of Cormyr, fellow mothers and fathers of those who stand behind me," the half breed gestured to a brunette human youth, and a blond half elf, who both flushed deeply, trying their best to hide it. "It is our honor, Alyster and myself, to present the graduating class of the Year of the Bent Blade! For the glory of Cormyr, and the legacy of Alizarin Academy!"
((If HH would like to add a speech for Darkharp, it would fit here))
*As the crowd applauds, the half dragon lowers his hands for silence*
"And now the valedictorian of the Academy of Magic of this year, my own adopted son, Elizair Selinfer, shall speak"
The young blond half elf steps forward, nervousness clear upon his face. He awkwardly rolls and unrolls a sheet of parchment as he prepares to speak*
"Th-this is a monumental moment, the first graduating class of Alizarin Academy. The first of many moments for the City of Marsember. Ours is a joyous and a heavy burden."
"We are the first of what we hope are many more men and women who will bless Marsember with the prestige and honor of a respected and trustworthy establishment. We are the foundation upon which a new, stronger Cormyr shall be born."
"In the short time since Alizarin was founded, the Academy and the City of Spices have faced unprecedented challenges. Acts of terrorism against those different from the establishment, the chaos and frenzy of dragons driven mad. The rebirth of the City of Song. Ours is a generation of growth and hope as has never faced the lands of Faerun, and it is our hope to further shape the destiny of our world."
"We have seen the fall of terrible undead, the return of one of Faerun's greatest symbols of racial unity, a land in flux and calamity. And yet, we persist. Cormyr persists. The Land of the Purple Dragon stands proud and unbroken, united still beneath the Crown of Obarskyr."
"We, the the class of 1376, are proud to be among the first of Cormyr's Sons and Daughters, willing to champion our land, if need be, to lay our lives down for it. The Forest Kingdom has placed it's faith in lonely dreamers, in scholars and doers, people who have sacrificed their own petty needs for the greater glory of a kingdom of strength, of principle!"
"And in this land I'll proudly stand
Until my dying day, sir;
For whate'er a king o'er all command,
I'll still be a Cormyte brave, sir."
"For Cormyr, for Alizarin! We shall see a better tomorrow for our land, for all lands!"
The young half elf salutes off stage, to a stuffed bear more or less hidden from the audience, to the applause of his fellow students at a shared joke to Bear God. He then resumes his place among the assembled students.
((If HH has a character to fill the roll of Bardic valedictorian, that speech would fit here))
The half dragon waits for the polite applause of the assembly to subside, then steps forward.
"Ladies and Gentlemen, the students of Alizarin Academy, Year of 1376! May they never fail to bring honor and glory to the Forest Kingdom!"
//Whether they choose to be a part of the pc guild or not, hopefully this helps inspire any players that wanted to start a Cormyr born mage or bard to come up with an FRC driven back story
