News quickly spreads through the lands that in the middle of the night a Shrine of Ilmater near Tyrluk was raided. It is said most of the priest were away doing missionary work for the sick and ill when the attack happened, but those very few that remained were killed and beheaded. The Raiders also started fires that caused massive amounts of damage and burned many documents and records before the fire could be put out. It is also rumored that markings of Loviatar were found carved on the semi burned altar inside.

As soon as word reaches Suzail, a young Damaran man with the symbol of Bahamut travels as fast as he can to the shrine, summoning a deva inexplicably wearing a headband meant to resemble an arrow piercing it's head. The two work swiftly to help put out any remaining fires, and offer any slain worshipers of Ilmater a spell of raise dead, assuming they would return by the grace of the Platinum Dragon.
"Am being raised Ilmateri in land of Crying God's greatest champions. Is always right to aid Adorned of the Pain Bearer." The young man works without complaint and without expectation of reward. The deva does as well, but strongly suggests someone make delicious stew, to lift the hearts of those toiling in these times of crisis.

Far from Corymr, a nearly naked man sits upon the battlements of a rose colored stone tower in the early morning light, looking out over the City of Baldurs Gate. As he gazes into the first mornings light, he see's a young man approach the tower. He yells down to the man "The Arch Mage is not available at this hour, come back in two hours". The young man yells back, "I have a message for Seamus the Dragon".
The man leaps off the tower, his smallish wings unfolding, slowing his fall enough so he lands only with a loud thud. "I'm Seamus" Taking the message from the man, Seamus begins reading it. "Seems my gold was spent wisely hiring eyes in Cormyr" As he continues reading, a frown grows on his face, then he roars loudly, dropping the letter on the ground.
"That whore and her followers burnt down the Ilmatari shrine! I should have known it was not possible for that bitch Zodika to reserve her ministrations for her own perverted flock. Seems I'll have to go back to Cormyr. I'm sure some old friends are gathering people to deal with this situation, and I'll be damned to the deepest of the nine hells if I'm not going to be there when she gets run through!"
"Thank you for this service" reaching for a pouch on his hip, Seamus realizes that he has no pouch on his hip, much less anything more than a lion cloth on. Looking toward the tower, he then realizes the doors are locked this early in the morning. "Darina, I'm locked out of the tower again! Come open the door, please!"

During her stroll through the streets of Marsember, a crimson haired woman takes a peek at one of the posters pinned against a noticeboard. She frowns, pushing back her impressive length of fringe and taps her foot, glancing around carefully.
With a flick of her finger, a globe light appears, and she peers over the notice. The light is dismissed and she continues on her way. " What is Cormyr experiencing as of late?" And with that, she disappears into the night.

Travelling through the King's Forest, Thenley decides to make a diversion to the shrine itself upon hearing the news. Sifting through the remains whilst the rebuilding work takes place, he studies the scene carefully and in depth.
He can later be seen asking local inhabitants and, any surviving priests affiliated to the shrine, about anything they may have witnessed during the incident, and the course of events leading up to it.

The Priest and worshipers of the shrine were working on repairs diligently when the thunderous hooves of the war horses drew their attention. They all turned to see the small band of armed and heavily armored figures riding in.
The pack of war horses slowed and then stopped as they entered the yard of the shrine. A large figure broke off from the pack and trotted his heavy war steed toward one of the clergy men. He stopped a few paces before the Priest and then dismounted.
"Hail Friend, *scans the area in disgust* It turns my guts inside out to see the House of Ilmater treated in such ways. I am Elwind Dragonsbane and have been sent here by the Order of the Golden Cup. May you rest assure that by my oath and blood,You can rebuild, pray, and do the work of The One Who Endures without the fear of anything like this happening again while we are here."
The man then turns and remounts his steed. He begins to bark out a few commands to his horse mounted assembly. The group then begins to move in to varies positions of security around the shrine area.

A red haired woman in forest green garb arrives, scrutinizing the area from aside for a time. She finally approaches and attempts to gain access to view the altar to see if any of the carvings still remain.
Introducing herself as Mirrir, (a tracker if pressed for more details), she proceeds to, in a casual fashion, ask any of the Ilmatari that will take a moment to speak to her if they've uncovered any clues as to the culprit.
With or without answers she excuses herself to be seen prowling around the outskirts for a time before departing back towards Tyrluk.

Mihail, taking a break from his labors assisting the shrine, strides out to where the paladins, approaching Elwind and kneeling, speaking in perfect Damaran.
"Milord, it heartens me to see another son of Damara, and a relative of King Gareth in these lands. As one raised in the church, and as vassal of the Platinum Emperor, I owe your Uncle and the Crying God more than a humble priest could repay with all his blessings. If there is anything I can do for you, or for the Order of the Golden Cup, it is my highest honor to perform such a service."

Moving along with purpose and loud noise, a massive knight in full plate armor with a maul slung over his shoulder makes his way to the shrine.
When he sees the various men on horseback, he pauses to introduce himself in a clear voice, practically shouting so everyone can hear him, and making sure he's very visible. His armor is engraved with the symbol of the defenders of the church of the triad.
"I am Sir Edthin Vidry of the Heartlands, Paladin of Tyr, Hammer of Justice, Knight of the Order of the Merciful Sword. I have come in the name of Tyr, lord of law and justice, to investigate the unimaginable crime done here, and bring those responsible to justice."
