Come one, come all to the first ever Necropalooza!
A gathering of the finest undead from across all of Toril at the end of the tenday! Games, prizes and a good natured gathering for all.
Larloch might even sing!
All are welcome, if they bring no violence. Violators will be violated.
Transportation will be provided once location is determined.
Robert A. Cadalanter III
((Sunday 9/11/11 from 12:00pm to 6:00 pm EDT - or as long as the groups hold out))

*Lustig happens upon one of the notices and reads it without apparent surprise until he gets to the bit about Larloch, at which point his jaw drops. After a few moments of stupification he smiles brightly, considers, goes white, considers some more, grins....and cycles between the two for a while. He eventually walks off muttering to himself and stumbling into tables before teleporting away*

A white haired woman happens by one of the notices. She takes a quick glance at it and walks past... Then turns back to read the whole thing.
"A party of undead? Now why didn't I think of that? Oh this will be so much fun!" She looks down at herself. "I must find something to wear!"

*Standing still and quiet among the shadows of some street late at night, a young woman's eye is caught by one of the notices. She slips across the way to take a closer look. She tilts her head as she looks at it for a long moment, unconsciously bringing a hand to her lips. A person would be hard pressed to tell whether that was a shudder or a ripple of silent laughter that passed through her then. After another brief moment's consideration, she slips off into the crowd and is gone.*

Glenduil reads the notice with an increasing frown. He can almost feel the hunger of his new blade for the undead. When he reaches the part about no violence his frown deepens and he walks away.

After reading one herself, Mene pulls a parchment from her pack and reads that as if comparing. She then puts it away and walks off towards the Hullack, muttering to herself. Anyone close enough can hear ...
I have to go prepare an "It's not my fault" speech. And then pray... lots of praying...
... before she slips away unseen.

A dwarf in silvery scale and plate reads the message with a distinct frown, shaking his head and is heard to mutter 'I 'ope this is some grand jest."
He walks off, his expression disbelief mixed with disapproval.

As the dwarf walks off, the notice mutters: "You could only wish, shortstuff." A giggle is heard...

// Will there be opportunities for people who would be opposed to this sort of thing to disrupt the event, or is this intended to be a hands-off necromancer event?

It's stated clearly. Feel free to try and disrupt it. Just don't be surprised if it ends horribly. EDIT: It's also an event for all, not just necromancers.))

A redheaded elf looks at the poster and smiles for the first time in days. "What do you know? I will get to meet some interesting people and show off my latest creation." She makes a mental note to follow up on the time and place of the event and walks off.

Zerastrum reads the note over with a satisfied grin.
"Well... he certainly knows how to cause a stir. This promises to be most interesting... and possibly entertaining."

*A chicken wanders past one of the various boards outside, eyes the message and flaps up to balance on the thin wood plank wobbling comically, the hen poops down the board and then falls off...chased away by locals and strutting off with ruffled feathers*

Through out the tenday, when a Purple Dragon or a War Wizard catches sight of the posters, they pull it down with facial expressions varying between disgust and sardonic amusement.

The location has been chosen! A portal will be available at midday on the Bridge of Fallen Men, the border between Cormyr and the local Thayan enclave at Proskur. Again, all are welcome, no violence will be tolerated.

//Just as a heads up, barring a surprise update, the area used will be the Windswept Ruins of Icingdwell. For RP purposes, it will be one of Bob's lairs on a demiplane. Icingdwell will be unavailable for the duration of the event. Thank you for your cooperation and look forward to seeing as many of you there as possible!
