What had he been thinking?
He dropped onto the comfortable bed and leaned back, staring at the wooden ceiling. What had he been thinking? Why had he said - admitted - all this stuff at all?
She had said she wasn't interested each time they had talked, even before he had even considered, even before the thought had crossed his conscious mind at all. He had promised himself he would never do something this... foolish and dumb again.
He sighed deeply and closed his eyes. It was all Entori's fault. If he had not said that... no. The wizard shook his head. Not like he wouldn't have come to the same conclussion himself after some time, it had only taken a bit longer.
Time to think.
How came anyone he ever approached always wanted 'Time to think'? Not that he could blame her in this case. It had been very sudden, rather unlike him actually. But then he had always waited to long and ended up with a 'You're my best friend, Zae' all the times before.
A slight smirk played over his lips. Best friend. Was there anything more depressing then being that close and yet that endlessly far away? He sighed. At least that wouldn't happen this time.
Actually, he wasn't sure what would happen now at all. Usually, he saw them saying they needed time to think simply as an excuse to get a day to come up with a way to say 'Pike off' without ripping his heart out. But she wanted that much time. No one'd need that much time just to figure out how to make 'Pike off' sound nice.
Maybe she really wanted time to think. Maybe she really considered it.
But did it matter in the end? She'd probably ask someone from her family, who'd then advise her to stay away from him. And he had little doubt she'd listen.
Seems he had messed up once again.
He slowly turned his head to glance at the small object lieing on the table next to his bed.
But maybe there was some hope at least
