During the day, Kale can be seen ordering extra supplies of wine and ales (and maybe ones he rarely stocks on hand). If anyone asks him, he'd mention an anonymous gift was given to him for two things.
First, to help out the Purple Dragons and Guardsmen that patrol Greatgaunt regularly, in their meals and accomodations.
Second, the extra not used for that, to hold a small celebration in the inn.
Kale keeps quiet about the specifics of it, and mentions once his orders are in, he'll make an announcement on the board in Greatgaunt.
