Well I will say this. I have played here for over a year, and have met at least three major Forgotten Realms characters. But I will say, I wouldn't want to be running in to any of them on a regular basis. I would say from my experience the DM team does a great job of throwing them in for flavor when they are appropriate, but letting the players be the real stars of the module. So I guess what I am saying is. That you may get lucky and meet one of your favorites, and that would be great. But i would hate to see them featured in the module. Any way that's my two coppers.

The NPC you speak of is a naitive to the regions far to the north west of Cormyr. That's not to say that he hasn't or won't show up one day, we have many NPCs in our mod that we use, but, like Talus said, it looses its novelty when a favorite NPC appears all the time.
In short, you may see him one day, you may not. But, again, like Talus said, this is about the players, not the NPCs.

yep yep and yep...We have probalby 80% of all the "famous" npcs made, but as they both mentioned above...their appearance make a showing about the same as the Macy's parade in NYC.
p.s. Drizzt did make an brief appearance bout 3 weeks ago. Hard telling when he'll come around again.

please feature drizzt do' urden and his friends please in the module. I agree with what all of my cohorts above have stated. But, I do wonder if this request is the equivalent of going to a concert and screaming "FREEBIRD"!!! Oh, and in case I want to say "hi" with a special NPC in game, what characters do you play? And who do you log in as?

Well untill now , Ive seen Elminster , Fzoul , The steel regent and her pet sorceress ( I still say they are lesbians regardless of any novel or sourcebook ) , I think ive had a run in with Manshoon as well once . . . Drizzt is hardly aprpiate for Cormyr and sorrounding area , but I would like a meeting and then "borrow" his +5 Defender Scimitar that should be worth an exotic weapon feat Edit: well a scimitar is really only a martial weapon Be good B.

You would be surprised who you will run into. I've run into plenty of famous NPC's, that inculdes villains and heros.
Stick around long enough and it will happen to you

And just for a reminder, just because you know about the famous NPC, does NOT mean your character knows about him. These may be famous characters in our world and theirs, but fame only spreads so far, and seeing as how I have never read about Drizzt visiting cormyr, I would think that any natives born there would consider him anything but your usual drow. So Drizzt beware, because if hroth ever sees him, Salvatore is gonna have to find a new cash cow.

Yep... it would take a lot of people to hold Garistan's arms to prevent him from casting spells Drizzt's way He's met Elmister and Storm Silverhand so far- and of course Manshoon... He didn't know who Storm was though he did enjoy meeting Elminster. He was even jealous of the fact that so many people were able to meet him before he was!

So far, the only famous char's I've ever met, are other PC's, with the exception of a tiefling that summoned himself into Isinhold directly behind my dwarf.

I don't suppose you could do Szass Tam? He is in the module as an NPC, but not alot of use for him around Cormyr. We have most Faerunian NPC's pre-made. They all look really close to source, or as close as possible... can't find use for many of them, but we have them just in case, heh.

i know that artemis was around for a bit was he not? that is somebody i would NOT like to meet. or manshoon, or fzoul, or certain other baddies in the realms. seems to me there is enough already running around FRC as is.

While you're doing Drizzt and his merry band of followers, why not throw in Klauth, Dragon Of The North and yeah, Szass Tam ;D

I can't for the life of me figure out why a lich that is a ruler of Thay would be skulking around Cormyr. Yes, I suppose there's some off-chance that he might be there for some reason but unless it is on purpose and he has his phylactory with him, it could spell the end for Szass Tam. He's more the type of person that invites company to his house rather than go visiting.

Aww...you mean all those nice NPC's that people go all ga-ga about won't be visiting us? What a shame.... (I do hope the sarcasm is evident ) But now you got me curious... what would it take to get a dinner invitation to Chez Szass Tam? ;D

A ticket to Thay, the respect of the Thayan Red Wizards, the respect of the *Zulkirs*, a valid reason, and about twenty buck american. ;D

Would 'I think you rock' count as a valid reason?
