Travelers wandering the Bramblewoods after the sun has set hear disturbing screams of pain in the night in the distance behind the trees and the cloak of night. The unnerving noises occur only for brief moments before the forest falls silent again, appearing seemingly at random locations throughout the forest and at random hours. Most crossing the forest by road or through the trees at night would experience this phenomena; some of the agonized screams belonging to human or demi-human people, others more bestial in nature. Anyone brave enough and persistent enough to follow the sounds would find little but small pools and stains of blood in the remote locations of the forest. No signs of bodies or footprints are ever found on the site.

The first night of the month's full moon the Bramblewoods turn silent again, the screams in the night and the signs of violence simply not appearing anymore. The disturbances vanished as abruptly as they appeared.
