Rumors spread of people missing from towns throughout Cormyr, from Valkur's Roar to Arabel and all points in-between. A rash of disappearances has recently swept Cormyr. No signs of burglary in the homes of the individuals, and some families report that their loved ones just never returned home.
The occasional missing person isn't uncommon, but what makes this disappearances uncommon is their swiftness and their volume. At least five dozen people have gone missing in Cormyr within the past tenday. In some cases, half a dozen have been reported missing in one town in one day.

*In the corner of the Regal Griffon Legebril furrowed his brow in concern as the elderly farmer told him of the missing people in the area. Motioning to Kale to provide the man with another couple of bottles of Cormyrian ale he questioned him further.*
'And what of the missing persons themselves - do you know if they have anything in common with each other? Are they all from poor families, or or rich or both, or do they share a certain religion?'
*Handing over the beer with a friendly smile he resumed his conversation with the farmer*

ooc: said between Valkur's Roar and Arabel. Greatgaunt is outside of that region.

The general response in Valkur's Roar is that all were humans. In Suzail, most were humans though two were hin.

A man with red hair, the green tabard of a squire of the Royal Corps of Monster Hunters, steel armour and a tower shield with a rising sun is seen walking the areas from Valkur’s Roar to Arabel. He stops in at every town and asks about the rumours of missing people, visiting homes and locations to interview those left behind or just the now vacated house. For those who confirm missing people he tries to match any personal items found at Greatgaunt after the attacks with the relatives of the missing people.
Before leaving every town he stops in at every Purple Dragon outpost, signing in and checking out the reports that have come in to each town, cross checking who, when, where and what. Often going out again to ask a few more questions.
At every outpost he gets out a large set of maps that encompass the realm. Notes are taken and copied onto a separate sheet of very thin paper, which is often overlaid over the other maps. On it are all the locations of the missing people, each and everyone, located and detailed in the wad of notes besides the maps. The map has also red marks on it, Valkur’ Roar, Mistwood, Arabel, Dhedulk, South of Evening star, north of Immersea a few others that are more pink shadings of areas.
When able to stop and chat he passes on a few tit bits of lore to those that will listen. Always about dangerous people they might meet, ones with no shadow, who do not refect in mirors or other shiney surfaces. “Like this polished brass disc with a sun symbol on the back if you wish to keep it Sir. And if one is met that you do not look them in the eye and you move as quick as you can across running water into a personal residence, and naturally , do not invite them in.”
He walks on, the journey is long and the last dawn was hours ago.

The religions varied. All the abducted city-dwellers were from low- and middle-income neighborhoods, while the rural outliers taken were also from common stock. None of the missing people come from families of wealth or influence. When checking the various villages and hamlets in Cormyr, most have someone to report missing, though at least one is a town drunk and it's believed he may still be around somewhere sleeping it off. Thunderstone reports no missing persons. As concerns "personal effects" found dropped by the mists during the siege of Greatgaunt, these are almost entirely impersonal, mostly consisting of vials of Inflict Critical Wounds potions. Some of the naked remains of former werewolves also went missing from Greatgaunt before all the bodies could be burned. It's estimated that approximately half dozen of the naked corpses of the lycanthropes were taken.
