The way I understand it is that its just outside Cormyr. . . Even think the guards at the southern roads say something about leaving Cormyr . . . . But I could be wrong , it has happened before

Well, all Thayan enclaves are Thayan soil, so whether it is in the borders of Cormyr ir not, it is not Cormyrian soil, but Thayan.

Well, all Thayan enclaves are Thayan soil, so whether it is in the borders of Cormyr ir not, it is not Cormyrian soil, but Thayan. Very true, but before an enclave can be errected the chosen nation has to agree to having an enclave. Part of that agree is that the enclave is treated as Thayan soil. The reason I was asking about this, is I've been reading up about Thay and Thayan Enclaves, and it seems that those who are part of an Enclave are asked to be on their best behaviour, also it is normal and encouraged that these Thayan's do there utmost to improve the standing of Thay. Such as by helping out the local militia, removing pesky monsters etc. So I was thinking that if there was as enclave in Cormyr, it would make sense for a Thayan Wizard's to help out as much as possible, which gives a good reason for a Red Wizard to be wondering Cormyr doing 'good' deads.

the Thayan Enclave in FRC is indeed on the soil of Dragon Coast, Proskur...and it is considered Thayan soil. Think if it on the lines of Indian Reservations or Miliatary Bases....This particular enclave is from the source book of "The Lords of Darkness".

Sorry for being thick, but when you say it's on the Dragon Coast, what nation is the enclave actually on, or is this unclaimed land. I understand that the enclave is considered Thayan soil, but normally they get permission to put an enclave in a nations border first. ~~~~ Okay I've had a look and found Proskur on the map of Faerun, as I don't have my books with me at the moment what nation does Proskur belong to.

It's ok Lord Raven. If you don't ask, you'll never know. The Dragon Coast is a land, but it is not a unifed nation with no captial. It is made up of independent city-states and pirate holds. The Thayans had gained permission for the enclave from Proskur (Large City, 13,984) Proskur lies just outside Cormyr and the Stormhorn Mountains on the Overmoor Trail. Like most Dragon Coast trading cities, Proskur is run by a merchant council. Unlike other Dragon coast councils, Proskur's rulers are confessed thieves, former thieves' guild bosses who realized that they could become richer if they became the government instead of always fighting the government. Ironically, Proskur is now known as a fairly honest region, in the sense that its ruling thieves are up front and efficient. Other covert operatives have difficulties evading its authorities, who have done it all before. The long-time leader of the Proskur council is a brilliant swindler named Leonara Obarstal (NG female human Rog12/Gld3). I hope this helps you out.
