EST and GMT have a 5 hour difference with GMT being ahead of EST. 1700 is 5 PM. To confuse the matter a bit, US Daylight Savings Time and GMT only have a four hour difference. Daylight Savings Time is in the summer though.

EST is Eastern Standard Time, it is the eastern timezone for the US. GMT is Greenwich Mean Time, it is the timezone in Greenwich in the UK, the global Mean (middle) time. GMT is east of EST.

The sooner the better, if't you all turely want to bring a rush of pink to a young Paladin's face, in the kissing booth. Lol. ![:-*](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/kiss.png)

I too would like to join in if it's going on when I'm on. I know I'm more of a solitary guy but I hope I can start improving my RP and interactions in the future. Ring me when it happens!

Ok here's the scoop. I'm not sure about dates and whatnot, but I do know that Shivata is out of town in RL until monday and won't have a chance to plan anything until then.
But I"m interested to see where our rp can take this event as I find it rather humorous already.
;D

Shame about your planned events going down the drain. I for one would love to join in these activities. I consider myself a fair rp'er, but input is always appreciated.
Looking forward to this festival, seems like the perfect place for a newly arrived cleric of Tempus to get to know the locals. And the local brew. And, Tempus willing, one of the local lasses ;D

Just let me know when and where.
This is when I'm usually on: (all times eastern usa time) Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday: after 8pm Thursday: anytime Saturday: after 10pm Sunday: 7am to 12pm
I'm going to try and mix up the play of all my PCs so they each can get some RP time.
Keep up the great work -Scott/mip(23)

This is just a recommendation for any roleplay event that takes place:
If you have it, try to have it last all day. And by that I mean all RL day. For a festival this will be really easy to do as a festival is supposed to be a long time event.
For those with weddings or other not so long dealings have it the celebration for the event happens all day. This sort of helps with making sure not so many miss out on the events. Even if they miss the main hullabaloo they can still hang about to have fun.
Just my two coppers.

The events should also be accessible to everyone. Not everyone would have the knowledge of where the event is being placed and the means to get there. There should be a free caravan ride to get to the place and back to Isinhold for the day of the event. In this way even a level one would be able to have fun roleplaying at the event.

Been playing the real RPGs for 20 years, which is why I'm quite awkward at this online roleplaying. I'm used to using my voice and body language, not my fingers on a keyboard, for communication. Anyway, I would also be interested in such events, should they occur.

I know this thread started a year ago, but is this still something that happens? I'd love to fine tune my RP (in the same sort of sense that I'd like to fine tune my violin playing skills - step 1: stop making it squeal like a dying pig). Anyway, count me in if anyone's still counting.

Yes ..... Role Playing events are ongoing at this time. Check the DM schedules for information on them. Also be prepared at all times ... more than once something has occurred to my PC's that has swept them along headlong into an event merely by being somewhere and interacting with others involved. Lastly .... events here tend to be player driven so far as I've seen. On several occassions a PC has initiated something and a DM may or may not show up to liven things up. None the less there is fun to be had most anywhere here .... just keep an eye open ...... and and invisability potion or three ready as well ![:P](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/tongue.png)

This thread was created as a sign-up for "How-To" roleplay events. However this idea never seems to have caught on so I'm unpinning the thread. Sign-ups generally are not required for DM events. The idea of the Roleplay Events activity was to have people sign-up if they were interested in brushing up on their roleplaying ability and/or learning conventions of roleplay on FRC in scheduled DM-led roleplay training scenarios. For information on DM events I refer you to the DM Timetables: frc.proboards37.com/index.cgi?board=dmtimetableevents
