Now I saw that there's a thread for posting letters to the royal court. But what about the local rulers of the different cities, how does one contact those? It would be rather silly after all, if I write a letter to the Steel Regent offering my services to the local militia of Isinhold....

I always wondered why do the Militiamen of Isinhold have like +7 Scale. arent Malitias normaly the bottom of the military ladder and are aquiped with somthing like leather or chainmail? a long soerd of short and if they are luck a sheild? I just figured since this land's guards are being streched thin by all this trouble why would simple malitia have armor like that?

I think Isinhold militiamen looted the elves. Not for any good reason, but because they where there, and the militia needed something to do while they're on their off time.

The highest armor on an Isinhold militiaman is +1 Half Plate. His back story is retired adventurer and he brought it to the fight. What makes you think they have +7 anything?

I'd suppose you could use the same format, just title the letter appropriately...to the mayor of Isinhold, the Lord of Redmist....etc... I'd don't think we'd really need a seperate category for each of these.... However, keep in mind that if you 'were' a member of the Isinhold militia, you would be expected to spend your time akin to the other militia men, i.e. marching back and forth along the way for a good 8-12 hr shift IG....(this doesn't really translate to high action adventuring...be a bummer to watch your companions all heading off to explore the "insert area here" while you still have 6 hrs of your shift left... ) I always wondered why do the Militiamen of Isinhold have like +7 Scale. arent Malitias normaly the bottom of the military ladder and are aquiped with somthing like leather or chainmail? a long soerd of short and if they are luck a sheild? I just figured since this land's guards are being streched thin by all this trouble why would simple malitia have armor like that? Eh...once again I am left wondering just what you are talking about.

Was thinking along the lines of offering my services as a healer and a smith, not as a grunt But yeah, wandering around town when nobody's about sounds pretty damn boring. Still, playing a militiaman might be fun rp when there's people around. Maybe a sergeant or somesuch who doesn't have to wander endlessly up and down the same road, but has a bit of leeway.... "I'll just go check there's no trouble at the tavern lads, keep up the good work" ;D

Hehe, whenever noones around I just have Luthor patrol the town. *shrug* I don't know why, but I'd rather walk around than sit... So the guards have a pretty damn good job... compared to mano benner >_<
[Edit] Who up until the lag threat, had a very interesting life.
