Actually, the PDF's MUCH smaller than the PageMaker file is. So it'll be a little less than a meg, I think.

Glad you liked it Neoseanster, I hope that this collection of creative works from our players can inspire a few PCs to put down the sword and pick up the pen

Glad you are enjoying it..this is still really a work in progress. As more bards arrive, and the present bards write..I will continue to update the file.

And if anyone is wondering why the front cover is a picture of Helgrin..well..hell if I know. I played with a number of pieces of art, but that one just felt right in the end.

Anyone who has downloaded this PDF, and finds something on the forums I have overlooked please bring it to my attention so I can add it in. I have already started doing this myself, as well as fixing a few minor errors I came across. I'll be updating to a newer version in a week or so.

This took a lot of work and you did a great job. The effort captures a bit of the creative spirit that can go beyond the mouse clicks of a computer game and surface wherever roleplay enthusiasts gather. My hat is off to you for compling and preserving this for us.

I suggest that everyone download this little gem. It takes about 30 seconds on broadband. This is an amazingly entertaining piece of community creativity. You have 114 pages of collected works by actual players on FRC.
Thank you for compiling this and creating this little wonder.
Cheers!

Thanks for the praise guys, be sure that you get the update when it comes out probably wed evening. I added some things that were either missed or unavailable to me at the time, and I am still busy correcting minor errors in the content. I also have plans to put together an FRC sourcebook for PnP, and a collection of short stories from FRC, so look for them in the future. -V

Alright, glad you like it SCJen. I think this weekend I am going to start my short fiction compilation. There is alot of good writing on the forums, thought collecting it into one place would be good. I am particularly fond of your own work Jen, and Thrym's. I also think that Miraster the Black's story in 'Heart of Ice, Staff of Shadow' is top notch. I am sure with all the stuff it will resemble a realms short story compilation and will be worth downloading.

Truly a very nice work, started read and beyond doubt it will value the time, congratulations for the iniciative, you truly helped to elevate the quality of roleplay of the complex bard class, the same applies to all who helped - we may not be perfect but we try

I could also link these to the NW Vault entry for FRC as "flavor companions" if there is any interest. I was thinking players could get a feel for what goes on here before they ever log-in. Let me know what you think, particularly compiler/author Dark Harp.

I am fine with linking it to NWvault. It might bring at least some people looking for a good bardic scene our way.

OK, with abit more matierial that I missed before, and some more of my own, it's time for another version of Bardic Works I have been putting off for far too long. Anyone out there have a copy of acrobat so we can convert this thing into PDF format when I have it done? I plan on doing some work tonight/tomorrow, and if I can't get it done in that time I have a weeks vacation starting the 1st.

LOL kinda makes me think of a King looking down from his throne as court jesters and such each attempt to entertain him. Each time he tires of one they are beheaded and the next one is brought in. Hehehe the middle ages version of the gong show. ;D Ever heard the song by Metallica "King Nothing"?

Getting ready to do a massive, long time in coming update to this project.
All players of bardic characters, and anyone that's written a song for their character, please send me a PM with either a link to their song thread (preferred) or the songs themselves within the PM.
Thanks!
EDIT: Artists, Storytellers, etc, etc. This applies to you too!
