Right now I am totally enjoying the musical styles of one Jonathan Coulton ( link) He's the only known troubador for Popular Science Magazine and a great songwriter/singer. I had heard of him on talk radio on Saturn's Day evening and checked him out when I got home from work. It's really great work considering that most of modern popular music is complete and utter crap (if I do say so myself, which I did. Anyway...). Make sure you check it out, but particularly "Big Bad World One" (my current favorite, but only becasue it was the first thing I've heard from him).

Yeah...movie soundtracks while I wait for the server to return...go figure I don't like modern pop music. I do however like some of the old rock folks: Styx, Journey, Queen that bucnch...and Simon and Garfunkle...gotta love those guys even if I cant spell the name.

Since when do Simon and Garfunkle... or Styx for that matter... qualify as rock....?

Since before you were born sweetie You know, I foudn Simon and Garfunkle's greatest hits in one of the CD cases in my closet... I still assert... /that/ is not rock. In the mean time... I also found Meatloaf - Bat out of Hell in that case... ...he's safe on third... taking an awfully long lead.. almost daring them to pick him off... heres the pitch... a line drive down the third base line... he's going for it... he could go all the way..... Stop right there! (So I'm a bit envious of the 30 minute guitar solos... ;D)

*listening to him play the piano and sing*
All around me are familiar faces, Worn out places, Worn out faces, Bright and early for the daily races, Going nowhere, Going nowhere, Their tears are filling up their glasses, No expression, No expression, Hide my head I wanna drown my sorrow, No tomorrow, No tomorrow, And I find it kind of funny, I find it kind of sad, The dreams in which I'm dying are the best I've ever had, I find it hard to tell you, I find it hard to take, When people run in circles, It's a very very, Mad world, Mad world, Children waiting for the day they feel good, Happy birthday, Happy birthday, And I feel the way that every child should, Sit and listen, Sit and listen, Went to school and I was very nervous, No one knew me, No one knew me, Hello teacher tell me what's my lesson, Look right through me, Look right through me, And I find it kind of funny, I find it kind of sad, The dreams in which I'm dying are the best I've ever had, I find it hard to tell you, I find it hard to take, When people run in circles, It's a very very, Mad world, Mad world, Enlarging your world, Mad world

a Rush Album I forgot existed.....real good too "Roll the Bones" Got to love a band, where the guitarist is the weakest memeber of the trio. Especially when that guitarist is better than alot of others.
