I was wondering if the Shadow Dancer class is still off limits.
When I first started to play this game, I thought "Oh cool, I'm gonna model my first character in-game from my favorite D&D character" who was, coincidently, a Rogue/Shadow Dancer. I made the character as close to his original stats as possible and launched the game, only to read later that the Shadow Dancer class is off limits in this server. Needless to say, I was really bummed, but I decided to roll with it and made another character instead. But I logged in last week and, low and behold, I noticed a guy with a few levels of Shadow Dancer while I was looking at the player lists. Well, I was pretty envious but I went ahead and played as normal. Then a few days ago I saw a new player with a Shadow Dancer....... They didn't have the classic "DM So-in-so" name, so I can only assume they were players. Is it an available class to play? Did they get specific permission from the DMs? Did the rules change on the forums and I just haven't read about it yet? Sorry for the wicked long question, but this prestige class is my favorite and its important to me that I know all the facts. Thanks in advance......FRC rules!
There are currently two Shadowdancers on the server, they were grandfathered in since they had the class before the class was banned. So I am sorry to say that, yes the SD class is still currently banned.
Gaurds! Summon the holy kitty litter! Mr Scruffy demands poopsie!
As to what "grandfathered in" means, it refers to a "grandfather clause," which is an exemption in a new law that allows those who were previously doing something legally to continue to do it legally even though it is now illegal.
I prowl the forum late at night in search of blood!
