DM Q&A: Setting: Out of race faiths

This may sound a bit of a weird question, but there is a reason behind it!

Is it possible for a PC of one race to become a cleric of a deity of another race?

For example, could a halfling become a cleric of Sehanine Moonbow, an elven deity?

I think it would have to be up to the individual diety. I don't have the Faiths and Pantheon book in front of me so I'm not sure specificly about Sehanine Moonbow.

It would depend a lot on whether the deity is ethnocentric. Some deities (Corellon Larenthian, for example) are very tied to their race, while other deities would see worshippers of another race as an opportunity to gain power.

For deities,
worshippers = power.
Worshippers of a different race = spread of power.

So, as SCJen said, it would very much depend on the deity.
