is there a way for us to have something like an arcan archer for Hins with slings and /or darts? this would most likely require a hak though if we did would it not? can the arcane archer class be changed to allow other races? I could easily see Deadeye Daruis the dwarf with his crossbow or Tindle Twinkletoes the Hin with his darts of death.....only thing i can think of is using fighter weapon specialized but does that have to be a melee weapon?

Weapon Master does have to be melee.
Modding the arcane archer class would require a hak.
So yeah, good idea, but not really possible.

I don't really care too much for the idea of modding the arcane archer for other classes. Different races have different prestige classes.
However it is true that elves and dwarves both have race specific prestige classes (arcane archer and dwarven defender) in NWN whereas halflings, gnomes, and half-orcs don't.
Halfings have an innate talent at throwing stones and throwing weapons, as well as slings, so I could possibly imagine a ranged prestige class based on that. This innate talent with throwing things and using slings is a racial trait of lightfoot halflings (+1 to attack with thrown items and slings).

yeah but the absence of things like, divine scout, divine champion(yes i know torms idiot class), runecaster, Red Wizard, and such...you hafta admit there is only so much they can represent. I wish all of the prestige classes were available that are avail in PnP but understand they are not. It is kinda what makes me wish their was more prestige classes out there that were more available to all like arcane archer being avail to any race. Dwarven Defender is cool but only a lawful dwarf can do it,lol....who wants to be lawful? But cool no matter what and thanks for the feedback....and who would not want to be able to play a true shadowadept? talk about feaking awesome...

In D&D dwarves are, as a race, traditionally lawful while elves are, as a race, traditionally chaotic.

ummmm yeah, but adventuerers as a whole are not typical member of their race and are generally the abnormal instead of the norm....hence, that is why i WISH and know now that it is impossible to do...that is why i asked. Kinda like the ridable dogs for hins while throwing their darts of death arcane archer style vs a horde of kobolds riding monkeys....just a image that i see nightly.....
