DM Q&A: Item: bows, axes, and quivers....oh my!

there is a bow sold by the bow guy in suzail that i would like to buy...except it is a longbow. Which i know Guldar could use but i think short bows are more realistic for him. If i have the gold can i have a short bow made instead?
i know we are 'pose to suggest this but i am wondering if it is even possible to have an axe that you can throw and it ends up coming back to you...
last question....do the quivers work?
