This isn't so much of a question as it is a request.
I am, and eventually will, be losing my hearing. Currently as it stands I have a hard time hearing very soft noises about me. This does also include sounds over speakers. If any of you DM sorts have tried giving one of my characters an audio cue to hint to me that something is up, then there is a good chance that I have missed it.
My request: If you wish to clue in one of my characters that something is up, please use either a visual or text clue for me. Guess you can call this D&D for the hearing impaired.
