I was wondering how one exactly intially becomes a paladin. I was reading a post in Lore of the Lands and it says one answers a calling.
Does that mean the church or order seeks out this individual and requests that they become one or what? Any clarification would be much appreciated thanks!

You are called to service as a Paladin from your god(dess). Likely through some direct vision or a series of dreams or somthing. This could happen at age 8 or it could happen when you are 43. Thus destroying the notion that people are somehow 'born' paladins.

Actually paladins are grown on turnip farms.
