On the docks of the roar, within Talbots and the Imp there is a smattering of sailors who have recently arrived from the lands of Calimshan. They are chugging grog, smoking a rough shag tobacco and indulging in the dock workers. When resting from that mayhem, they engage in story telling.
Most of the stories are the usual exageration one might expect from drunken sailors, but; there seems to be one that is consistent. A large dreadnaught class ship called "The Slinger" is making it's way towards Cormyr. It is a gargantuan vessel, fifty cannons a side make it move slow - but towards Cormyr it is heading. The same salty sea dogs speculate as to who could be aboard it, what cargo they are carrying and why the are coming... but none of them are certain.

Listening with a look of skepticism is Captain Blake of the Cormyean Freesails vessel Tethys. The priest of Valkur and privateer who hunts the inner sea, shakes his head when the word "Dreadnaught" is mentioned. "That be a rare vessel crewed by a species that would not be welcome in any port" The mariner says dryly "I do not think you mean what I know this word to mean" He scoffs at the mention of fifty cannons "Well then, the owners of such a vessel have more money than sense, black powder is costly and to outfit each would mean the vessel must be carrying enough to be a great danger to itself... one lucky shot would light up the sea better than the dawn, aye? Still, I shall inform my Admiral, daresay he and the Blues will enjoy this scuttlebutt" // DM Sauron

Tales continue to be told about the the coming of "The Slinger!". As sobriety hits our story tellers, the size of the ship quickly begins to reduce. The tales tell now tell of a well made, beautifully carved Galleon which flies under a Zakharan flag. Some of the passing sailors confirm they have seen this Galleon on a trip to Cormyr.

Rumours of unknown Corsairs stalking the Four Winds building are beginning to circulate around the salty sea dogs of Valkur's Roar. Apparantly there is some unknown friction on the seas.

A sleek looking ship was seen anchored up a short ways out from the docks of Valkur's Roar. After a few hours it was seen sailing away once again.

The Ashen Gargoyle is seen setting sail from Valkur's Roar. Nine people board the ship. Three of them, all with heavily covered faces, dissapear below deck fairly quickly. The six members of the Four Winds remained on deck, doing what their duty.
When the Gargoyle returned there was Eleven people on board, but not the three that hid below deck. Out of the five new folk two where children and three where adults. They all seemed disabled in one way or another.
What could have gone on?!

In the coming days Wulfric and dockhands can be seen repairing the ship. And pulling out ballista bolts from the haul.
