Wondering if Im the only one that wishing someone would remake this game with up to date graphics and leave the design basically alone.
Am I?
I read about Baulders Gate 3 gofundme success and its was a great success for them. Their game is very good too, but doesnt have what I love most about NWN - A game with a built in game designer and dm mode to keep things interesting. The idea has shown its worth. I believe they didnt like the financial return as much as the games out these days. It just keeps going and going.
Anyway, I'd like to hear what people think about starting a GoFundMe for a Forgotten Realms Game built around the design of NWN 1. Including DM modes for DMs to influence and change the world. Custom content Builder allowing for updates to either whole persistent worlds like it did and does now or changing to something more financially lucrative and making a persistent world, starting with Cormyr of course, that grows though addition content built through a similar content builder.
Im sure I havent thought of even close to everything to make something like this happen. I dont have the skills or education for it. Im capable of some scripting.. about it. lol.
But I envision a game engine like Grand Theft Auto or Fallout 4, with little in the way of scene transitions.
A slightly back third person perspective. Ability to get creative with character looks, like we enjoy... through time or money. since time is money... ooops. strike that, reverse it *wink*, money is time... we purchase money with our time. ok, enough of that.
Im unsure of what all would need to happen, but the interest for a good game based on nwn 1's multiplater idea could come off real well, and there likely isnt any harm is starting a gofundme to find out, the money would just be returned I imagine if the interest wasnt there.
Also, It needn't be the people here at FRC that do the heavy lifting. The experience from here and possibly other nwn 1 persistant worlds could be used, along with money to hire the right people, and yeah.. no one works harder, or misses their kids more.

anyhooo... comments expected. ;p
