A bit late are here our pictures from Celith and Aren's wedding. Along with them goes again a thank you to those who were there to make it a special day for them (and us), and also to Valk who helped setting up and Pookey who heled us getting Aren's bouquet.
An invitation.
Setting up with Valk.
Only a few guests has arrived at time, getting the couple a slight bit nervous if people are going to show up.
But finally more arrive - notice how Vestele (in blue and white) tries to charm herself into both single and not single men.
Getting people into a halfcircle, and getting them into a halfcircle on the right place is a difficult task when dealing with such independant individuals as adventurers.
The happy (and nervous) couple looking on while the guests still tries to form a halfcircle.
And so it begins ...
Not wanting to wait half the night, Aren takes the words and gets their attention.
Aren: Dear friends, sisters and brothers
We have asked you all here today to celebrate with us. We knew when we sat down in the gardens of Suzail that many of you would disregard each other with distrust, some might even feel hate. We only ask you that you remember this is an evening of celebration; a celebration of life and love, freedom and happiness.
Celith: There are many things to say about marriage. Much wisdom concerning the joining together of two souls, has come our way through all paths of belief, and from many cultures. With each union, more knowledge is gained and more wisdom gathered.
Aren: Though we are unable to pass all this knowledge onward, we may hope that this day will leave us all with the knowledge of love and its strengths but also the anticipation of what wisdom time shall bring.
Celith: The law of life is love unto all beings. Without love, life is nothing, without love, death has no redemption.
Oh, wait they finally made it.
Aren: Love is anterior to Life, posterior to Death, initial of Creation and the exponent of Earth. If we learn no more in life, let it be this.
Celith: Marriage is a bond to be entered into only after considerable thought and reflection. As with any aspect of life, it has its cycles, its ups and its downs, its trials and its triumphs.
Aren: With full understanding of this, we stand before you today to repeat our words.
Celith: Others might ask, at this time, who gives the bride in marriage, but, as a woman is not a property to be bought and sold, given and taken, I ask simply if she comes of her own will.
Aren, is it true that you come of your own free will and accord?
Aren: Yes, it is true.
Celith: Please join hands with your love, your friend or who may be standing next to you and listen.
They take each others hands.Aren: Like a stone should our love be firm, like a star should our love be constant.
Celith: Let the powers of the mind and of the intellect guide us in our marriage, let the strength of our wills bind us together.
Aren: Let the power of love and desire make us happy, and the strength of our dedication make us inseparable.
They both pause, looking over their guests in quiet before speaking again. Both: Be close, but not too close. Possess one another, yet be understanding. Have patience with one another, for storms will come, but they will pass quickly.
A voice: Be free in giving affection and warmth. Have no fear and let not the ways of the unenlightened give you unease, for the Seldarine is with you always.
Aren: Celith, no one has the right to bind you to me, only you have this right. If it be your wish, say so at this time and place your ring in my hand.
Celith: It is my wish.
He places the ring in her hand.Aren, if it be your wish for me to be bound to you, then place the ring on my finger.
She places the ring on his finger.Aren, no one has the right to bind you to me, only you have this right. If it be your wish, say so at this time and place your ring in my hand.
Aren: It is my wish.
She places the ring in his hand.Celith, if it be your wish for me to be bound to you, then place the ring on my finger.
He places the ring on her finger.Celith: I, Celith Kalaben, in the name of the spirit of the Heart of Gold that resides within us all, by the life that courses within my blood and the love that resides within my heart, take thee Aren to my hand, my heart, and my spirit, to be my chosen one. To desire thee and be desired by thee, to possess thee, and be possessed by thee, without sin or shame, for naught can exist in the purity of my love for thee. I promise to love thee wholly and completely without restraint, in sickness and in health, in plenty and in poverty, in life and beyond, where we shall meet, remember, and love again. I shall not seek to change thee in any way. I shall respect thee, thy beliefs, and thy ways as I respect myself.
Aren: I, Aren Moonbolt, in the name of the spirit of the Heart of Gold that resides within us all, by the life that courses within my blood, and the love that resides within my heart, take thee, Celith to my hand, my heart, and my spirit to be my chosen one. To desire and be desired by thee, to possess thee, and be possessed by thee, without sin or shame, for naught can exist in the purity of my love for thee. I promise to love thee wholly and completely without restraint, in sickness and in health, in plenty and in poverty, in life and beyond, where we shall meet, remember, and love again. I shall not seek to change thee in any way. I shall respect thee, thy beliefs, and thy ways as I respect myself.
A voice: May you drink your fill from the cup of love.
Small silver cups containing sweet, bubbling mead appear in front of the gathered guests. Celith holds the cup for Aren to drink from and then she takes it and holds it for him to drink from.Well, we couldn't have expect that halfcircle to last all night.

And the probaly best way I've ever seen a DM clean up after an event. We had the cutest little brass wyrmling ste... hoard our flowers and pillows.
Finally the two of them enjoying part of Doust's gift, a night in the suite in the blushing maiden, and what goes on after this picture was taken ...
