Amyriel tugs hard on the thick wooden door sending in a rush of winter air into the Red Raven office in Greatgaunt. She fights against the wind as she closes the door and stomps her feet. Pett Leonall glares at her with his one good eye and she shuffles towards someone she thinks will be more receptive. She approaches Shandar while rubbing her cold hands.
"I have some dire news. We were standing outside the inn when a gentleman approached in great pain. He clutched his heart and we could see wrinkles gradually appearing on his face. Milna did her best to keep him alive in time to get Lagertha the priestess of Lurue and she did her best to keep him alive but she was battling against a very powerful negative energy. I held his hand as he passed and then his flesh desiccated and turned to dust in my grasp. The cold wind blew away all trace of his body."
She shivers half from the cold and half from the memory before continuing.
"Before he went to Jergal he told us that he played a poker game inside the Griffon. He said the poker player was called -Cara- and that he promised him whatever he desired, and the only cost would be 'Just a little bit of time" Allegedly some players left happily and some left sad but this particular player left dead. We searched the inn and found traces of powerful negative energy and a mundane deck of cards. Those cards depicted people with wings and tails that were obviously not human."
Amyriel draws out the cards and shows them. "It is unlikely he is still here in Greatgaunt and I worry for the larger cities once this vile player bargains with peoples souls."

Shander listens intently, making notes of the important points of information as the tale is told. He looks over the cards with a quirked eyebrow, turning a few to get a better look at them. After the tale was told he takes a moment to slowly exhale through his nose. "Thank you for bringing this to the attention of the Red Ravens. If true, this is terrible news. If you hear of anything else, please make us aware."
