"Aye, I'd be happy to teach you navigation, lass" The Captain smiles "The sharing' of knowledge is important...I'd say cabin fever is when you feel cooped up and like you want to explore new places but can't due to a howling gale gnawing at the sheets" He chuckles "The call is for certain what I get th'further inland I go, I'm a born pilot, happiest on water, I've been to plenty of Shatterins, y'can't always go depending on where you are and the activities, I'm glad we be free this time - the Crown has not ordered us anywhere so we have time and when we are done, it is back to huntin' the Inner Sea, protecting ships and doing what we can for the lads and lasses who make their livin' out here...tis a good life, we have had good tales to tell since we took the oath" He grins at her questions and curiosity "Imagine if you will, a flotilla of craft, all different sizes an' shapes, don't matter what it is, what vessel, if it be Valkuran it is welcome and we meet on the highest rankin' clergy's vessel...that will be my superior - the old fella has the room as his ship's a big beauty" He nods at the coin "Drinks are had, food and greetings traded, stories told, and the spiritual side attended to, we give thanks for his blessins and ask him to continue th' inspiration and protection, there maybe a collection took up for sailors who have retired, the Mighty puts the mariner first in all things, even above himself so we tend and look after our own"
He pauses for another chuckle "We do take guests as long as they be respectful, y'get a lot of Selunites at these things for the navigators and wanderers..good people of the travelin' kind and we share news o'what's been occuring"

A grin would remain as he told of what some of the Shattering entailed.
"'n yeh get ta 'ear word from across the seas 'n even farther almost every year. Huh!" She'd nod in appreciation. "Tha'a a noice added benefit. Keepin' abreast o' whot goes on outside o' Cormyr's boarders."
A tiny snort escapes her, "Tha' way some folk carry on yeh'd think Cormyr be tha only place in all o' Faerun worth payin' attention ta."
"So now tha' yeh got yeh directions, 'ow soon will yeh be leavin' port?" she'd tilt her head lightly at the question while looking at him. Some thought crossing her mind, almost looking worried.

The Captain ponders, pausing to bark an order at a few sailors "Get those barrels secure lads, that line is flapping like a fishwife's-" He stops himself from going further, mindful of his company and snorts as they chuckle "Pardon me, ma'am...I'm thinking we leave no later than three to four days, we can make it there sharp, the old girl is mighty fast since her refit and we are not low in the water right now, I want that conductor installed but if those mages are held up longer we will depart and come back for them" He smiles "May we be of service before then? We can delay if we're needed, blasted mages and shipping times never meet in the middle..." He mutters "I just 'ope they haven't run into some trouble but knowing Eddy, the experienced of the two, he has probably set the trouble in a block o'ice or petrified it and left it there"

There is a definite quirk to her lip as Neckan almost gets uncouth and an even wider grin at the reaction of his crewmates. She silently dismissed it with a wave of her hand and a shake of her head, trying to show that it wouldn't have phased her.
She paused a very long while at his question, hesitating to say anything, eyebrows furrowed with the consternation that seemed to not quite ever fully leave. Mynian got a little closer to him and spoke softly so that his crewmen wouldn't overhear.
"Look, me ain't doubtin' yeh visions 'r whot yeh've been physically shown," her head would lightly tilt to indicate the coin. "But me got a notion tha' there be somethin' 'appenin' in Cormyr itself whot's not allowin' these snows ta stop. So while the Shatterin' comin' might be yeh god sayin' tha' Spring do supposed ta be 'ere..."
Slight frustration seems to take over and she motions with her hands as she speaks, "Me been shown thin's whot says somethin' be amiss. Tha Shatterin' will 'appen 'n maybe o'er tha rest o' Faerun they'll get they sunny skies 'n bloom o' flower 'n smell o' tha crops on tha breeze, but not 'ere. 'm not one whot's got tha divine touch, Cap'n Blake, but me gets shown thin's whot feels loik it be at least one o' tha Ladies o' Luck givin' me tha fortune 'r even misfortune o' bein' in tha right place in tha roit time."
"Me nay gonna ask yeh ta 'old back on takin' yeh trip out 'r delayin' yehself 'ere, but ... ifn yeh do get back soon 'n tha snows still be fallin'. Come find me 'r keep yeh ear open at least. 'n tha only favor me would ask be ta .. maybe pray ta 'im one more time. Ask ifn whot 'e be showin' yeh means spring should be 'ere 'r will be 'ere in Cormyr."
She takes a couple of panting breaths after getting it all out, then looks a little abashed, "'m sorry fer ramblin' 'n me 'opes yeh even got a quarter o' whot me said. 'm jus' ... feel loik me runnin' out o' options."

The Captain mutters something in Midani that sounds like a curse, one of the sailors cringes as be hears it while passing by and gives Mynian a look that silently asks "What in the world?"
"Blasted furies!" Neckan growls "I'm sorry lass, they give us the most trouble..wretched, interferin' bunch o'-" He clears his throat mid-tirade and calms, like a sudden squall "Gimme a moment"
Lifting a finger, he draws a circle in the air which quickly expands to allow a lantern archon to appear through it. The celestial being bobs and chimes melodically "'Ere, you were Pasqual in life aye?" The Captain eyes the ball that shimmers and garbles like a xylophone back at him "See if you can find out what's going on, how far it extends" He explains "I'm thinking it's local, they'd not get away with this global or the rest o' the Gods would weigh in"
The archon bobs, chimes in reply and vanishes out of sight, speeding off on its mission.
The Captain looks out of sorts, now. "Spend half me life waiting for news" He mutters and catches Skully's eye "Better break out another bottle, Skulls"

At the look from the sailor, Mynian gave an apologetic wince, but said nothing and returned her attention to the Captain. She was already feeling abashed at letting some of her frustration vent to him and kept quiet as he had his quick swirl of an outburst. There was a light look of surprise on her face as he began to cast a spell to summon the lantern archon.
She stood back, more out of respect than out of any sort of fear and watched him send the summoned celestial off to confirm her words. A sympathetic twitch of her lips appears after he mentions of waiting for news, and she reached up to rub at her earlobe.
"Me knows tha' feelin' all too well," she'd utter in agreement. "Yeh'd think one would get used ta it, but we all got our limits ta patience."
She'd add quietly, giving a slightly pained smile, "Yeh donna mind ifn me stick about fer a another drink? Even though it feels loik me jus' ruined yeh day?"

The Tethys and her sister ship return to port as the weather becomes increasingly colder. Back home, the crew make sure that the shrine of Valkur is cleaned meticulously and Captain Blake distributes the tithes among older, impoverished sailors, deck and dockhands. Two new figureheads have arrived, the two beautifully-carved Tethys representations are installed with much devotion and merriment on the bow and stern. The Captain gives her Valkur's blessing and garlands of seashells are placed around her neck. Food is shared. Songs are sung and large quantities of rum consumed as the crew takes the advantage to bond and relax in their rest. In the coming days, the Freesails prepare for the rougher climate ahead and gather supplies and armaments, the Captain heads out to seek news and gossip while he attends his duties as a Wavetamer.

Leaning on the rail of the ship, Neckan observes the ballista bolts being pulled out of the hull of another ship through his spyglass and shakes his head "What the hells did they get themselves into..?" He remarks to his second mate "Better log it, we will have to chase whoever did that out of these waters if they're still about" "Aye sir" The mariner gets back to checking over the Tethys armaments. Later, the ship heads out on a short patrol of Valkur's Roar's waters.
