A caravan on its way to Valkur's Roar with a load of fine cheese was ambushed and the guards and merchants slain. The villainous Ettins were dispatched but a small group of adventurers. In responseto the attack the Purple Dragon garrison has vowed to increase the frequency of its patrols along the roads. This bad news was followed up by last night's brazen attack on the village of Great Gaunt by goblin worg-riders. The riders were thankfully stopped before there were any serious injuries. Many are muttering and blaming the collapse of the peace with the orcs tribes others claim the orc's were just laying low all along to build up their strength.

Those coming forward to Mynian Copperhand regarding the caravan of cheeses to Valkur's Roar she starts aiming towards the Purple Dragon garrison along the Southern road between Greatgaunt and the Roar. Or even Sir Callen in Greatgaunt.
"Me knows jus' about as much as anyone," she would say. "Now pardon while me makes sure tha families o' tha dead be compensated n' then try ta find another affordable cheese supply ta 'elp keep tha folks o' tha Roar fed."

The clear-cutting of trees in the Bramblewoods has come to an abrupt end. Goblins are still out and about looking for all sorts of strange items, strange even for them. Those goblins encountered will have animal intestines, skins, rope, rocks and bits of steel. They all speak of a great Goblin warlord named Winter. The odd thing is while Winter is always the name the warlord, the goblins describe their new leader in a variety of ways. Sometimes it is a giant, other times and orc sometimes even a goblin. Descriptions all vary to what Winter is and looks like but Winter is always termed as smart and powerful.
