Reports around the Adventurers Network would ear passing rumors of demons feeding off other creatures and slowly turning them into undead fiends.
Swarms of black ooze whirls about, consuming creatures and suddenly, they contort, twist and turn into winged, demonic undead.
So far there is not much else to know about this issue. Only that these creatures haven't attacked citizens , towns or any other civilization. In fact, these swarms of Abyssal vermin only hit places that adventurers usually roam.
Even adventurers have not been attacked by some unless attacked first. The undead fiends have a mind of their own, but one that caters to submission to a higher power.
Adventurers have been suggestion their peers to not spread this too much as it can cause panic to the common folk. However, such rumors are usually suppressed by Barons, Lords, and other Land owners until more information is obtained.
(( OOC: Stay tuned as this continues :3. As it sits, anyone in the know of this, is in game. If you wish to get involved, you'll need to find those involved in game. However, what is stated above is common knowledge amongst adventurers. You can talk about the rumors, but be mindful of where your character speaks. Try to think outside the box as NPCs are around, evil, neutral, and good types. Lastly, you may look for easy solutions, but they will -not- always get the best results: IE; Spells of Badassery, Epic level badassery, etc. This story is for ALL levels, but I will do my best to keep things separated as I don't want a level 5 character trying to go the easy route by gaining assistance from a 21+ level character. Please be mindful of that so we can all enjoy a good challenge that caters to our characters levels . This is not to say you can't ask for advice from an experienced character, but let us just try and respect each other's level of power is all I ask. ( There will be times all levels will be intertwined in this. ) If you have any questions, just message me :3 - This Thread can be used for RP replies or actions.

Yesterday, when Tundor hunted in the Stormhorns in the company of Nathaniel, Salendra, and Shago, they met these swarms of abyssal vermins. The speed with which they transformed the orcs and frost giants into demonic undead was frightening.
Tundor went to the Alizarin Academy of Bardic & Arcane Lore, trying to find some knowledge about these creatures and the demon woman who controlled them.

Tundor would make way to Academy and seek out assistance or anything upon this abyssal phenomenon. Anyone there within the academy who makes an attempt could not find anything that resemble detail of this plague no matter how long they looked.
Tundor would also find his attempts futile in other libraries and mage towers are able to identify these Abyssal Swarms. Some would even mock the idea and find it outlandish.

Where do you start when you don’t know what you are looking for? Well the beginning of something is a good place Cooper thought. After he had managed to sneak into the cells searching for… well some of them anyway in the war wizards tower searching for the one known as Chop, he headed for the library. Where better to study the arcane than the most hallowed of arcane places in Cormyr the Suzail War Wizard Library… one of them at least. He understood that Demons were numerous and in theory they were the most widespread type of fiends. They were chaotic evil by nature, and were native to the Abyss *frowning all of this was common knowledge he thought as he flipped the pages. Demons had no true rulers, though powerful demon lords and deities were able to gain enough power and influence to gain control over sizable armies of demonic creatures. An army, pausing a moment recalling her words, that is what Aspasadx had said, she was making an army from the fallen. Thinking back to the portal and the heroic party that had ventured to find the portal. He pondered about the apparently innocent Parenny stuck up on a demon rack of sorts, powering the device literally with his soul, he thought to himself how they had not used more mortals to open a wider portal and bring a larger demon through an oversight perhaps? Maybe he should ask one given the chance, it may help him reach Limbo… or a device similar to that anyway. Rubbing his eyes and putting the finished tome down into a pile of other finished tomes he had been searching for hours, he glanced about. The library was extensive; you could probably spend years there, learning anything from the mundane to the incomprehensible, though more importantly right now it was quiet. Pulling out a grimoire with shielded gloves, Cooper read what he could of the title only able to figure out it belonged to someone or something called Margogh. How you could open it or read the contents was beyond even his vast intellect. The wards on it were impressive, though he would try and try to crack them if he could. Exhausted after hours of trying… he headed back to his home in Shallybrook for some mutton pie and a hot bath, his head throbbing as he pondered what to do with the book and whether to venture to the cold again.

Margogh's Grimoire more ore less seemed something that was used to aid in Aspasadx manipulation within the planes, if sent anywhere for further study, most Wizards and War Wizards would say it would take too much time to try and break the lock, but the Oghmanyte Temple might buy them for a good price! Sage Notten knows how to keep such books away from evil hands and where to direct them in the Binders Name.

Figuring out what little he could from the Grimoire, Cooper decided he would keep it and study it himself, perhaps there was more to be gleaned for himself as he studied the book at depth through the long hours of the night. One by one he spoke words in demonic tongues trying to figure out the key word.

Entering the mages tower bring warm cocoa and fresh bread for her, he asked her about the Succubus and what she might know. Gleaning what he could he checked his list… now to see when or if the demons had been spotted, time to head to Eveningstar, it was the nearest town he remembered speaking to Aspasadx, best check if they had seen her there or any minions? Seeing it was locked he left a well penned note asking if the order knew or had seen anything regarding the succubus and headed back to what should have been warmer climes, but Arabel was freezing of late. It was time to see Sage Notten and see what he knew. Once he could piece some bits of the puzzle together he could get a party together to go looking for clues. He should probably find Katheryn and exchange notes.

vulpes- Eveningstar would say the activity has dimmed and that the Lathander church has been keeping an eye out for any returning culprits of the Abyssal Plague. - Jahani mentioned that she has some information on the Succubus but said what they know has to be classified until they can confirm some theories. They wish to assist the Adventurers, but do not wish to send them on false errands. She said that some information has come from an informant known as Shayla. She has worked with the War Wizards and Purple Dragons before on approvals for certain expeditions within the Kingdom. - Sage Notten's ears have heard of the Succubus and the plague, but anything he receives are from his small band of field priests. And any scholars are just working with the War Wizards in seeking answers. ............................. General rumors spread from the Adventuring channel that a couple Nobles were being kept at the House of Healing to be checked out. Purples and War Wizards were there to confirm these folks have no indication of being plagued or infected/succumbed by the Demonic Plague Masters. However, the Nobles did stress they are free to be questioned. Words spread there is a possible Collaboration meeting to be held somewhere and someplace soon. This meeting would gather Adventurers and others who wish to assist in solving this riddle. This meeting would allow people to pull together the knowledge they found and come up with a plan. Some say a Helmite Lord is working one of the people assisting in putting the group together. // OOC: Looking to have a couple times set up at Saturday around 11am Eastern and Saturday 5pm Eastern. This will be for any one that has been involved/witnessed or interest in the Abyssal Plague Demons. Any levels are allowed to come to this. Only In game will players know the time and place of these meetings. Those involved will know and can spread the news to others if they wish.

Tundor, Nathaniel, Alexandra and Q'ora were checking the crypts to the west of Valkur Roars, to see if there would also be a portal hidden in this crypt as in three other crypts (Eveningstar, Thuderstone and Greatgaunt). They could not find any portal to the abyssal planes nor the succubus and her undead demons. However, they found a gigantic skeleton that was very difficult to kill. Lost in the corridor after this skeleton, they find the body of one of the abyssal demon cultists. Apparently, the fool went to the wrong crypt. And it cost him his life. But before he died he left a note: Tundor wants to assemble a team to check on this crypt to the south as soon as possible!

Cooper paced about the room. He had met the demon again, only this time he had an idea of how to help Hallie. The mage was intrigued by the offer it kept giving "join us" equally as much as he was repulsed by the foul creature. Unfortunately D had taken a real liking to Aspasadx , though he figured that was more his chaotic nature than anything, at best he was unpredictable he winced thinking of poor Shago. Perhaps he should hear what Aspasadx had to offer, who knows, maybe he could find a way to use himself to find Hallie, bait as it were. His meeting with Sarina and the others in Shally had not gone as planned, but it was just another avenue to be considered, besides, whatever they did to help was one less thing he had to worry about, in theory anyway. After measuring out the room and setting down the books he had recovered with the party from the mad wizards lair he measured out the symbols. Another plan, one that probably wouldn't work but was worth a shot. A way to bind her to himself. Risky, but worth a shot. If he couldn't free her it wouldn't matter anyway. Collecting some of her belongings from Cloudstone he set them down in the circle hoping the answer would show itself. Only it didn't. Hopefully the War Wizards would help when they tried finding her or whatever their plan was. The meeting was soon. Stretching, he covered his crystal ball, started to pen a note to Sarina, Tundor and some others but fell asleep with restless dreams before he could finish any of them.

Tea had taken her own time alone to investigate a old little keep in a stormy wood. She remembered this place from her early adventures in Cormyr. And that it was filled with out worldly taint. The place was as she remembered. A place of nightmares and torment. With some investigation, She came to nothing truly fruitful. But, Less demons within the realms is still a bonus to her.

The Abyssal Plague seems to stop..
Did something stop it, did someone stop it? What transpired so that Cormyr is safe again?
The War wizards search and others scout. Even Shayla, the Treasure Hunter shakes her head as if confirming that nothing is left of this sinister plague from the infinite abyss.
Only those that know can tell.. the ones with knowledge will tell the tales...
(( This plot is completed :3 Thanks everyone for the fun on this!))
