*the little elf wanders in, opening and shutting the door as he takes in his surroundings.. perched near the door he looks to the group, slowly moving towards them.. and keeping a distance he quietly listens in, his eyes watching the captain.. hesitantly he moved on all fours towards the captain perching himself just a few feet away sitting on his knees by a corner of the wall.. looking a bit questioningly and as if he wanted to say something, his expression under the hood of intrigue and caution.*

*a big smile under the hood as he claps nodding to neckan.. tilting his head he feels more comfortable moving right next to him and perches right there... indeed remembering him fondly, lightly touching the captains boot.. he looks up at him holding out a pad of paper out for neckan to read*

*he looks cautiously to her and the rest of the people.. easing his tension as he sees her smile, his eyes widening at the chocolate cake given.. giving an inaudible look of delight as he mouths what would be a thank you.. chews a small bite of it as he moved just a few inches close to her, his hand on the captains boot*

Hoho, Hojo Honjo by birth, would eventually make his way, following in the wake of others. From the dock he would look up the ramp and pause.

*he nods handing the pad of paper to neckan.. the writing a bit squiggly, though readable, laxus states that he really wants to be a sailor for the captain, hes loyal and wants to work hard for him.. letting the captain read it he waits patiently his curious eyes scanning the man..turning his head after a moment or two he looks to the others giving a wave though he still keeps a small distance between the crowd, his attention does turn to the woman who gave him the cake with some curiosity as well*
