Hello FRC,
A while back, the boss of the Bramblewood Bugbears was made stronger...

He seems to be stronger than the other bosses at that lvl range

He's a toughy for sure, but dumb as dull rocks as Warlord put it.
Dabria beat him at level 7 with a couple others. She had barkskin, and Expertise without a shield. (McScythe)
Choking powder is great to use against surrounding mobs and also Alchemy fire as well on a weapon when no casters are available to pump you up like hanz and franz.

lvl 12 fighter would one hit him more or less, aslo lvl 12 wouldn't bother going there, think lvl range is more like upto 8 and hes still not too tough

Yeah he is level 10, but in FRC, characters tend to go to places still after passing certain level and then some builds might have trouble with it. I heard of some still going to the gnolls at 18th for instance.

These threads always tickle me bc I suck at making useful characters. I always focus too strongly on the story. Aria for instance, is lvl 15 and can very, very easily die at the kobolds alone.

I haven't been there in a long time but I have a PC under lvl 10 that I can take over there and test his grit

How long ago was he toughened up? The last character I solo’ed the place on was a level 6 rogue/warrior who didn’t use traps.

Then the time I did it was within that span. It took some consumables and tactics, but it got done.

I changed my answer to No. Took a lvl 9 cleric solo with a lvl 5 Dire Bear (weaksauce) and an extended lvl 4 Feldrake, he resisted the Blindness/Deafness but was temp dazed from Hammer of the Gods. Both summons died but the dungeon was completed with just a bit of strategery.

I would further clarify that I think it's on the risky side and just as it is expected to use resources anywhere else I used plenty of resources here, including an invis potion to rebuff and heal and another invis potion to leave since I was too depleted to fight my way out...but even though I was less than fully prepared I was successful.
I can see certain classes having trouble solo given the expectation it's supposed to be a low-ish level dungeon but it's also not someplace I would expect to just be able to walk through easily, which should be the general theme most people go by when determining if any dungeon is still within their level range.
So given the intended level range I would say it meets plenty of what I would consider "general criteria": gives more than 2xp, it's a decent challenge that encourages a party rather than solo, and either way it requires the consumption of resources.

I feel the boss is appropriate for a team. My char can’t provide the beat down or take the hits but she can cast certain spells on the boss to make it easier for the group

I do not solo with any of my characters as I like the rp. You win some you lose some and you learn.
What I would like to see is the xp scaled to the level more. I mean you are the proper level for the area yet the battles are long and tough and all you get is one xp.
Pretty low for the resources spent. I am referring to level 18- 25 (example)

In NWN, the XP has always been scaled by creature level, not by actual creature difficulty level. It is sort of annoying, but that is how it works.
If you are within range of certain encounter or area, the foes give more than 1 xp. If you are some levels past it, then they give less and less until it becomes 1. And it will likely remain so. Elsewise, some could get ahead faster than they already do...but that is another discussion.

Disagree. The xp is adequate. We already have to many power levelers running amok. Also for the op, I completely forgot about this dungeon. I haven’t been there in 5 years or more. I ventured there and tested it and I agree with Tango. The boss is tougher but manageable. I also like when bosses are tougher so I might be biased.

I am not speaking specifically of this boss, but my frustration comes when you have a dungeon that say, Emorikal and I are in and we've never been in before... (maybe even a level appropriate dungeon) and we're having no issues through the dungeon, so we're comfortable IC and OOC moving forward, but then we get to the boss and they one shot both of us. Aria I can understand because she's not powerful at all, but Emorikal should be able to withstand, especially with Aria's buffs, a level appropriate boss for longer imo.

Sorry this is in jest *over nine years on the server I have lost count of those lucky times I have been one shot to death* also this time when I took a level 30 to a dungeon she can easily clear super confident no fear of death.. *cough cough* no Dm online. And the boss Killed ME.. just got lucky with a spell and was done after that. It happens. and I respawned *cried a little too after*

Any specific ones that you remember PM to me.
I know for example that the ogre bandit chief of Suzail is still trouble.

This boss stays the same then, but others probably need to be rebalanced.
