Hello FRC! I'm happy to announce that after 3 years of building, considerable tweaking, a change in build team leadership and a server migration to NWN-EE, the Anauroch Project for FRC is finalized. I will be doing the final round of testing offline this week, and then the files will be uploaded for DM Hawk and the volunteer FRC test team to review. There were times I when I was close of abandoning the project, thinking that either the scope was beyond me or that it was not worth it anymore. Despite the doubts, the times trying to convince the staff that this was possible and years of slow progress, this is done. It was fun, it was difficult and now I hope you all get to enjoy it soon and once the areas are given green lights and approval.
Now a brief explanation...
General:
The scope of this project changed over the years, until a balance between "ambitious" and "reasonable" was reached. The Anauroch includes 15 new areas to explore and adventure, while the dungeons were built with the regional monsters and by following the official sources of FR. Mainly, Anauroch 2.ed. Handbook and Anauroch: Empire of Shade were used to build this. Expect factions and desert dwellers here. Perhaps in the future more can be added to this and the Anauroch can be expanded. RP focused areas are also part of this project, including a canon oasis now controlled by the Bedine that can serve as the hub of the region.
Dungeons:
This time, I went for short, but dangerous and rewarding. The dungeons likely resemble more the Troglodyte cave than some of the longer FRC dungeons like the Necropolis or most orc themed ones.
Level Range:
Originally, I wanted this to include every level range, but that was just not possible due to resources. Instead of that, the desert has now content for levels 10-18 mostly, which I consider the more balanced level range. A few areas adequate for low (21-24), mid (25-29) and a high epic (30+) boss is present too.
*Possible Bonus*
Certain anti-Cormyr- status quo organizations (guilds) might recieve a bonus perk in the form of controlled territory here. The NPCs and monsters there won't be hostile to them or that is the goal. To the enemies of this faction or those that simply don't belong to it, enter these domains at your own risk. Cormyr laws no longer apply here.
Just a few weeks more and this all will be part of the FRC module.

Desert song! By the Cash man!
A burnin' hot sun a cryin' for water black wings circle the sky
Stumblin' and fallin' somebody's callin' you're lost on the desert to die
I had to give up and they took me to jail but I hid all the money I got
Way out on the desert where no one could get it and I left a mark at the spot
Then I got away and I ran for the desert the devil had taken control
I needed water but he said I'd make it near the money is a big waterhole
A burnin' hot sun...
[ Ac.guitar ]
Just up ahead is where I left my mark or it may be to the left or the right
I've been runnin' all day and they'll catch up tomorrow I've got to find it tonight
Then up jumped the devil and ran away laughin' he drank all the waterholes dry
He moved my mark till I'm running in circles and lost on the desert to die
A burnin' hot sun...
(Lost on the desert to die) lost on the desert to die (lost on the desert to die)

Congrats on finishing such a large project, I know it's got to feel good. I have only built on a more minor scale, but I do enjoy going into the places I have built. I am sure it will be awesome and a welcome addition to FRC.

Will there be obvious ways to tell if you're too high level for a dungeon? Like, Dimitri exploring the desert for the dirst time with a group wouldn't know what sort of threat to expect inside each. Wouldn't want to get in trouble for going somewhere they shouldn't just cause its new and unsure of the balance of it. Either way, congrats on getting it done.

Hah well, as always in FRC, if the foes seem too easy, then it is time to go elsewhere.
Even so, I think DMs would not mind giving everyone a chance to explore all of the desert areas freely for some weeks regardless of their intended level range.
Anyway, I uploaded the project today.

Hail Cormyrians,
This project got delayed somewhat due to EE updates, but we are getting there. Just a second walkthrough with the DMs to do, a potential play testing session, final tweaks and adjustments, and the desert will be available for exploration.
For now, screenshot to raise the hype.
Recomended Visual Settings:
Everything high or max. No custom lighting of the campaigns
Shiny Water enabled Depth of Field enabled Ambient Occlusion enabled
Vibrance Disabled or Enabled (For some users, this option could make it look as if it was the surface of Mars...lol)

Is there an update as to when this is being added in or is it already? Although the DM title on this thread makes me wonder if it has been abandoned.
