Very cool, but those gaming system specs are too high for how the visuals seem to look.

I kinda hear you. I Look at some pictures and think you can see some at least state of the art tech, leather vest looking really good and such, but ... I dunno maybe it‘s the colourful art-style ... I still find TW3 more visually impressive overall. And that‘s a 5 yo game that I played on my old iMac. Although, in all fairness, if I pump every setting to the max, you can get some cool screenshots but would not want to play the entire game on my 1 yo MacBook Pro. Hoping BG 3 will be visually decent and have other redeeming qualities

I have never seen mind flayers done that level of justice as a truly terrifying monster before in all my life. Holy jeezamoly.

Referring to the trailers rather than IG footage, right?

The game is sweet! I've played about 8 hours of it, and the dialogue is awesome. I want to run a pen-and-paper campaign that starts this way.

Cool. Honestly would be disappointed if every aspect of BG3 wasn't awesome as it should be.

If anyone is playing it wait until you encounter goblins at their lair. They are hilarious!

Going to play the game with a friend when we both have time. It looks like a fun game to play single player and multiplayer as we can both discuss tactics while turnbased.

So yeah.. cracked out with my friend on BG3 this past weekend. That's why I haven't been seen xD.
Played about 14 hours with her so far.
Multiplayer is pretty fun and sometimes your characters will talk to each other; choosing some dialogue choices as well.
When someone talks, or whomever is initiating conversation, just hover mouse over a friend and an ear icon appears. Then you can join in on the conversation.
We usually try to decided on choices together and even the person who is listening can make a choice and it will show what number they took. You can either agree to it or choose your own.
Since we are on voice we really just talk it over.
Can also assign party members to each other in session mode. So I can give my friend a character to be responsible of.
I did notice there is still a bit of favortism to the main character or 'host' when talking to the companions. Sometimes my friend can talk to the companions when a '!' appears, but usually I got to. Still, they can join in the conversation.
I haven't tested that if I actually assign a companion to my friend, if that would change and they would have priority to their assigned companion. Right now I am playing 2 companions and she none.
Lots of neat choices so far and we just go with the rolls. If we fail, we usually just live with it unless it's something I already did. I played solo for a few hours and wanted to see what another choice would give so we did the save spam. 90% of the time we are just going with failed rolls or 'bad choices' . We know when there is a bad choice, but it's fun to make them and see what happens xD.
Some things I haven't figured out is the spells and their duration. Seems some spells are just concentration dependent. If the caster's concentration is broken, then the spell is broken. Or some spells seem to just last until next rest.
Mage Armor for example seems to last until rest.
There are some cool subclasses so far but won't get into it.
Pretty fun for an Early Access game!

Speed runs: how to get as little value as possible for your gaming dollar. I can imagine it as something to have fun with after a millionth playthrough, though by that time I‘d prolly just be too lazy.

I can see how it would be fun to see how fast I could go through a game I'd already played through. I just can't fathom doing it so many times I could do it fast enough to brag about.
