A few caravans have reported the presence of a few shallow foul smelling pits along the road between Valkur and Great Gaunt. Something at the pits bottom was smouldering but the foul smoke discouraged a closer look.

Curious by this, Milelal ventured out to see what the source of the smell was. Well after casting a shield spell of coure.

Confident in her preternatural resistance to diseases, and assisted by a perfumed scarf over her nose and mouth, Lindra avails herself of a long stick and has a poke around in the strange pits.

Poking around in the pit reveals a bed of ashes at the bottom. Further searching uncovers bone fragments and teeth. Those with a lore more than 6 would gather they are the charred remains of a goblin.

Milelal makes note of the goblin teeth and becomes curious about what might have done this. She soon snoops around for other clues.

Little seems to remain the remains are burnt nearly to ash in what must have been an exceptionally hot fire. The pit appears to be gouged out of the ground and the earth is broken around the hollow in the ground.

The elven sorceress takes note of these things and starts to theorize a few things. She soon notes the how wide the pits are and if they've been gouged out by anything specific, like claws.
