The drop should be a tad rare, I think But it'd be rather cool to come across the famous DOLLS! of adventurers in monster loot? Dead, respawned...looted, and oops ..? Year to year after long stretches of a mighty event, the resonance of past deeds echo in the form of an acquired doll not even looking perfect, but torn up a bit and scruffy - allowing a doll-maker to fix for continued RP?

Maybe even particular cruel damaged dolls found in loot .... RCMH dolls with twine nooses around their decks
Triad Dolls partly burnt
Elvish dolls found stuck to the center of archery and xbow targets, many times shot
Dolls of mages warped partly by magic
These dolls would use in training by various monster to evil factions such the Dragon Cult

Even some found lost dolls in just slightly weathered condition with sewn on or ink on names such as "Timmy ironfinger, son of the smith in Espar, please return if found"

goblin shaman with shieldmeet dolls with nails hammered into them in ritual, doesnt have to work but if the goblin hordes believe it does it may make them brazen enough to attack. I do like the thought of a random monster spawn who is hunting down the champions by their dolls

Spooky doll related plots? Smells like DM shenanigans for October to me. >.>
...of course a stalker/killer would just end up running into Holance like that assassin did during the Planarnaut parade and literally get punched to death. End of plot.

End of plot. All those KiKi dolls are going to animate and kill the poor of VR, bringing my plot to fruition at long last.

Each should have a tag: "Gotta catch them all!". Would be interesting if some were voodoo dolls heavily worked on. Imagine a character getting a constipation or something not knowing why, then after a while finds his corked voodoo doll...
Good idea anyway. Maybe also rare drops of items from past events, festivals, etc... No surprise of hoarders being in a horde.

I would prefer if they would just drop gold to make looting less of a hassle. I personally am not immersed by seeing traders pay money for goblin trash.

The point of 'looting' is so that the items gathered can be then sold at a high or low price. By just making it all gold rips the 'Appraise' skill right out of the fun of having it during adventures. Selfishly speaking, Leah has a high appraise skill and just making everything gold drops kills the 'immersion' for my character. So yes, personally it kills your immersion because your character(s) probably doesn't have an appraise skill. Just something to note :3. Also.. let's ALL talk about just shieldmeet dolls and NOT Planarnaut dolls.. the REAL heros..

That and also weight and bag space. My dexers are always challenged. I suppose it's meant that way.

There have been other dolls made throughout FRC history these past years. It'd be gloriously preferred getting chewed up and beat up dolls over a kobold codpiece anyway I imagine replacing some nonsensical items with other nonsensical but FRC-flavor/sentimental items could be cherishable.

Selfishly speaking, Leah has a high appraise skill and just making everything gold drops kills the 'immersion' for my character. So yes, personally it kills your immersion because your character(s) probably doesn't have an appraise skill. It's that Appraise skill that not only lets you know not to bother with the sword the goblin was trying to stab you with, but also gives you the keen eye (I hope that's the sense being used) to strip him of his used and smelly codpiece. I'd prefer seeing a middle road. A lot of the "trash" loot doesn't really fit in with RP immersion unless you're going for a "joke" server. That could easily be replaced with gold or other item drops. There are multiple reasons not to go with gold-only drops, though, and I don't really count Appraise as one of them... Appraise would still be worth using skill points because of cheaper prices when buying from merchants. Gold only loot would mean no gems, potions, scrolls, or other items found unless deliberately placed. Also, gold in NWN has no weight, and managing encumbrance has been part of almost every RPG I've ever played, and IMO removing that aspect would itself break immersion. But, that's all just an aside. Since this thread is about dolls... *swaps the heads on a pair of Kiki and Thorell dolls*

There used to be a rule that you had to. No exceptions. If you opened a box, or killed a monster, you had to loot it fully.
And there's a lot of players who still follow it.

Fair point! That said, one can always dump the trash immediately using the crafting section of the quickmenu.
