Omar’s Report. ( This is written on a ale soaked parchment with rather poor penmanship. The ink fades in strength as if the person writing had a problem with the quill and ink. Several words have been scratched out through out the entire report as he struggle to come up with the wording.)
It was any normal day as I was venturing through the woods just East of town. The random rabid goblins in the area seemed a bit too confident that day and I felt it in my bones something was amiss. So I decided to gear up and take on the Goblin fort myself that day and see what was going on. As usually the poor chaps didn’t stand a chance against this dwarf. As hard as they tried they didn’t stand a chance. I dispatch the group fairly easily on the outside of the cave and wasn’t until I entered their complex that things would change.
There was a strange energy in the area and the goblin were greater numbers inside. As I worked my way down the levels they kept getting stronger and stronger. It wasn’t until I dispatch a roomful of them that I saw what was the matter. I came across a human female figure dressed head to toe in red and steal colored plate male. She was grasping a mace in one hand and two leashes in the other. The leashes branched out to go around the necks of two humanoid figures that were almost blue in color and had the stench of death. She had a large group of goblins around her that were clearly on her side. Things were not looking good.
I decided to take a more tactical approach to my current situation. I struck up a conversation with her to try and see what kind of mischief she was up too. At first she was not responding and I thought, maybe she was a deader herself. Then she spoke in sinister voice and said, “You should be running.” I replied to her, “From you or the gobos?”
She was not amused and she began her attack! A bright light descended down apon me in a instant but my reflexes were too fast for her. I shrugged off her voodoo and prepared myself for a fight!
I quickly dispatched of one of her deaders and several gobos who decided to join in the fight when all of a sudden dark energies started zapping from the dark. It was at this point I needed to know what I was up against. As I started to fight my way out it was obvious this was a trap and I needed to retreat. I was knocking down an almost endless amount of goblins but a onslaught of spells where flying at me and the tides were shifting. Using my superior intelligence I managed to confuse the sea of gobos that were entering the fight. The confusion made it difficult for the finger wigglers that were cowardly hiding in the shadows to target me with their silly spells. I was even able to get a portion of the gobos to turn on each other so I could make my way out. It was a blood bath of a battle but I fought my way back out all the while the casters behind me were throwing everything they had at me. I had no idea how many there were but I had no time care. Once I made it outside the hunt for me grew to a feverish pitch. I had to adjust my tactics and I become to crafty for them to locate me. I stuck to my surroundings and as they scattered like little chickens with their heads cut off looking for me. I slowly made my way back to town to report my findings.
I came across one of the Red Raven guards and I escorted him back to the scene of the crime. We came upon two female humans and one deader. The guard quickly dispatched the zombie and order the other two to stop. He started to interrogate the perpetrators and let one go free. She was the one that I originally came upon down in the caves. I would suggest she was the leader of the dead and the gobo force now. He took the 2nd female back to town and placed her in the town jail for further questioning. He then ordered me to file this report.
Just another day in the life of the town Hero of Omar Boulderborn. I’ve been told the local theater group are working on a script and will be perform an rendition of this harrowing tale in a future performance. I look forward to it and being a proud protector of the town.
