Recently, when not adventuring or found at his bench, Wylan can be found in the library of the academy. Surrounding him are fortification of books he picks through. Scouring and searching for any and all information and knowledge he can on a certain Drow city, Portals (as well as their triggering magics, enchantments, and devices), as well as any obscure symbols or glyphs related to the Drow or Underdark.
(If a DM wouldn't mind hitting me up on this, or any PC that want's to chime in on here, feel free!)
With his bench vacant again, and questions likely being asked, Wylan throws caution to the wind and returns again to the library. As the flames of candles flicker and dance he once again barricades himself behind a wall of books. His focus shifting only slightly away from The Night Below and more into the surface world subjects. If interrupted, he does his best to remain polite, but obviously has no intention of putting off his research until boredom, frustration, or solution drive him from his book-bunker.
The Wood Elf manages to mostly drag his attention from a collection of a couple books he seemed to be reading and scanning through at the same time.
"Eh? Wha'? Oh. This 's only part 'f what I's lookin' into. Sadly, a small-ish part 't that. Gunna be 'n an' outa 'ere a lot more 'n usual Vennis. Gods I forgot 'ow mind numbin' researchin' -actually- is..."
Wylan changes his focus of study from portals and the magics involved, to the Old Noble Houses of Cormyr. Rooting through their history, their lands, lineages, and what they stood for. At this point his frustration apparent, though he still does his best to be courteous and polite to the Academy staff and students.
