A letter to Millas the Enchanter, from Waterdeep

Conrad's luggage stands tall over the unconscious body of Millas the Enchanter. With its tiny front legs it stands on top of Millas his chest and poses like a hunter who just has taken down its prey.
A small sigh escapes from Conrad's lips, "I only wanted to have a word with him about his experiments...". From his inside pocket he takes out a letter and places it on top of the table along with some materials and components. "Hope he comes to his senses after reading this."
The content of the letter:
My fellow Construct Enthusiast,
Have you been wondering why you have found yourself waking up several times in your laboratory with a big bump on your head and a major headache?
Ever since I found out a great enchanter like yourself lives nearby Greatgaunt, I can't help myself but to borrow some of your books from your library. Books I have been using to improve my own knowledge and understanding when in comes to constructs.
Unfortunately, you seem to get really defensive when it comes to lending stuff to others. So, I saw no other way but to have my luggage knock you out cold on several occasions.
Again, my apologies!
My wish is that we can let bygones be bygones and forget the rocky start of our partnership. I am, just like yourself, really into constructs and especially the control over them with music. For you see I am a Constructor Conductor! I will let you take that one in for a bit.
During my visits to your place, I did not only borrow books however. I came across some interesting documents and also may or may not have read your diary. Not something I usually make a habit of, but this was just too interesting.
Have I apologized yet? If not, my apologies!
To get right to the point. It seems your experiments are funded by a group called The Avowed. Also they seem to provide you and your colleague with components and materials that are delivered to the mines in Espar.
As I am conducting experiments in the same field as you, I am sure these members of The Avowed, will have great interest in my results as well. So, I would like you to help me get in contact with them. Or perhaps we can start a partnership of our own, one that could prove useful for the both of us.
I do hope you will see it my way and agree in doing so. For it would be a shame to have to inform the good, but probably not so understanding, people of the Thayan Enclave that there is a telescope aimed at their Enclave.
It may sound insincere after the third time, but my apologies!
On your table I have left some materials and components as a token of good faith. As well as a glass of water and some herbs to help against any headaches you might have when reading this.
