Anien
Archer of the Arcane Arts
Age: Approximately 120
Height: 5’4”
Weight: Around 110lbs/50kgs
Hair: Near raven, waist length, straight
Eyes: Amber, some brown flecks
Faith: She pays the occasional tithe to the Seldarine and relates to the portfolios of the Keen Eye, The Lone Wolf and the Black Archer.
Profession: Adventurer, Elven weapons and armour crafter, Licenced merchant- though she doesn’t peddle her wares traditionally anymore.
Extended character description:
She wears a cloak and hood regularly and a longbow as tall as she secured high on her back. You note a quiver at her hips holding arrows with green fletchings, a slight glimmer of the weave about them. Her robes, gear and accessories are all extremely well kept and of fine quality though elegantly simple in design. She usually wears muted earthy tones, though seems to have adopted a darker palate of late in keeping with her desire to remain insignificant.
She wears an indifferent expression and is softly spoken, rarely displaying any emotion, though she can be caught unaware during moments of great significance to her. Oftentimes it’s just a slight side smile, or a flash of disgust or anger. She is curious by nature, even regarding topics she should perhaps know about. She is quiet more often than not, her curiosity manifesting through a silent and keen observation, though she will converse easily with regular travelling companions.
Further observations for those that have spent more time in her presence:
There is a clear disconnect for her regarding emotion, in addition to the fact she rarely shows it, she can be seen offering “unnatural” expressions. Such expressions are clearly odd or evidently not genuine on account of them not “reaching her eyes” or matching the rest of her face or demeanour. These expressions are her attempt at portraying an emotion when she is thinking too hard about it or when she feels it would fit the situation based on her observations of others over her short time of lucidity.
Those that know her would know that she lost her past during an encounter with the fae near her place of origin, the loss bothers her little and she has no goals to retrieve it. She believes the loss allows her the freedom to do what she “needs” to do in order to survive. This and the three moons between returning to herself and arriving in Cormyr have resulted in her disconnect with the portrayal of her feelings as well as her personal darker outlook on life.
She is not choosy about her travelling companions and their methods as long as they don’t affect her personally. This is due to her lacking any groomed beliefs or traditional predispositions passed on through kin and community (fae mind fiddling mentioned earlier). As far as she is concerned, like her bow is her weapon of choice and practiced tool, whatever else is other’s and it affects her little- as frowned upon or celebrated as they are.
