I feel you on Greengrass, Mandene. I was unfortunately able to contribute nothing but a paltry amount of gold to the event due to the pandemic radically altering my work schedule. Originally, when we began GG discussions at the beginning of the year, I had wide open weekends. I am now currently working overnights on weekends and crashing during the day.

We have usually IRL Greengrass celebrations here in Sweden on the last day of April. But due to Covid, they were nonexistent It tends to look something like this:
Everything is off this year. There won't be celebrations here for ending High School either (I remember it was such an important day in my life!)

I have that dry cough also ! Its called Marlboro
I'm one of the almost non-existent group "haven't smoked anything ever!" I once dated a smoker - was a terrible experience for a non-smoker.
My husband was a party-smoker when we dated. It didn't bother me, but he stopped even that.

Several weeks ago, one of my Uncles in the Philippines was in ICU ... for a burst appendix.
It took the rest of the family almost three days to get the straight story. My Aunt is not the best at communicating via text or social media and the only thing anyone could get out of her was that he was in ICU and she was upset over not being able to stay at the hospital with her husband. It wasn't until my cousin, realizing that family here in the States hadn't heard why he was in ICU, hopped on FB and laid it out for the rest of us (another cousin of mine let me know this as I practice social distancing with Facebook .. i.e. I avoid it like the plague).
He's fine and on the mend, but now comes the secondary worry that he was in the hospital where they did indeed have COVID-19 patients. So my aunt and cousin are now keeping an eye on him, themselves, and keeping everyone appraised of how they're doing. He's been fine so far and will hopefully remain fine for the months to come.

Starting Thursday of this week we will need to wear masks before entering and we will still do screening. The hospital is giving each employee to cloth masks. Employees can wear there own as well providing it meets the standards.

We're still staying mostly at home. We have been since 3/15 or so. We do go out occasionally and I am the one who always does the shopping. In our house, though 4/5 are somewhat immuno-compromised. Lots of hand-sanitizer, soap, and crafting/home improvement happened over the last few months! Here's a few projects I completed. ADD crafting ftw! Good news from Sweden.
The no. of deaths has been slowing down for a while, and is now nearing the statistics from the previous years.
(A true way of seeing how many die in Covid, is to actually compare the deaths with the statistics from previous years - it's a way to see who else might have died of it, without having been tested or officially pointed out as Covid-based death).

This probably wasn't the best time to move from Denver to Texas for work, but hey, my family and I did it anyway. Closing on our house this afternoon!

Usually I'm the one that gets their bangs and snacks swiped . It was just an unfortunate reality of returning to normal, but I'm looking forward to getting off tonight and going to bed...

So yea... I get back from some vacy time and find out one of my coworkers tested positive. So tomorrow I get the test and will know two days afterwards. To add to the fun, they decided to do a wipe down of the pharmacy with bleach. I am allergic to b;each has it gives me a stabbing head and severe respiratory distress if I am around it two long. Luckly I did not get the head but I got the coughing and asked to go outside.
SO yea fun day

You may have noticed I have not been staying in game long, except for Guardian meetings. This last week I have been feeling tired. I have had allergies coupled with low grade fevers.
I thinking a combination of things. Except for a few scheduled days off and a sick day here and there I have worked none stop in a potential hazard zone, the VA hospital.
Good news in regards to my malaise, No shortness of breath or chest congestion. I think much of it is mental strain as I feel I am working in a war zone.

One of the Industrial Designers at my company, has, together with Sundström Safety, designed this product.
Few weeks back we looked at this project at my company, since we're both proud of it, and since the relevancy of it is super high.
I've had the opportunity to work with him on my latest project, which has also been extremely relevant to our situation today.

The situation with Covid and my work has taken a surprising toll on me mentally. More than I expected. I am slowly getting back on the main road. In regards to here, one of the ways is organizing screen shots . I am trying to focus on my characters more so if I seem bit spaced out recently, you know why. Depression is a shadow and one that can suffocate you if you let it.

Depression can get to the best of us. Hang in there and remember to breathe <--- something I tell myself constantly. I do that bit where I stress breathe, so stressed that I subconsciously forget to inhale for some seconds.
This is going to sound funny, but taking my character to the fishing spot in the Shieldmeet grounds to just fish and draw up songs has helped calm me in RL. Some people try exercise. I prefer virtual fishing. XD

My best therapy has been cooking.
There's a meditative quality to chopping veggies. It's both relaxing and forcing me to be in the moment - I like to keep my fingers.
The side effects are also that good, healthy food is also good for your mental health.
The second side effect is that my husband loves my cooking, and it's good for my spirit to see him enjoy it.

Heh If I did that I would eat too much. My husband is the cook, I can make meals from appetizer to dessert but he prefers to do so.

My first day back at the office.
We're to visit the office in shfits, maximum 2 times a week, 4 hours per visit. So that as few as possible are there, and we always meet the same people.
Also, this is what I found at the entrance:

I’m watching “Utopia” on Prime. They had to add a disclaimer to the beginning stating that all the made up diseases aren’t real....
