Early the next morning, after her brief visit to the House of Healing, Miravea, carrying a light but determined scowl (her eye still black and face swollen) approaches the door to Hramtol's Fencing School in the northern section of the market. She gives the area a glance over before pushing on the door and - *bang* -- then pulling on the door and opening it. Now partly embarrassed, she enters.
Inside, she looks around. Silently, she notes the rather quiet, school. Seems they're between classes, she thinks.
Spotting a man moving past a doorway in the back, Miravea raises her hand and calls over, "Hello! Do you work here?"
The man pauses and looks at her, obviously just noticing her. "I do.", He calls back. "How may I help you?
"I'm hoping to sign up for classes." She glances around the room before looking back to the man.
The man takes a moment to consider something. "Have you any experience in fencing?"
Miravea softly shakes her head.
The man raises his hand to point at his own face then inquires, "You wouldn't happen to be looking to repay a debt, would you? We don't want to get involved with anything like that."
She frowns softly, raising her hand to her face, then again shakes her head. "No, nothing like that. I was recently given a sum of gold and I guess someone saw it. As soon as I left the market, they beat me up and took it." Her voice becomes a bit more determined. "I don't know who did it or really even care. I just don't want it to happen again. I need a place to get started. Can you do that here?"
The man takes in her story and nods a little, his expression showing a hint of compassion for her. "Sorry to hear it. Yea, we can help you. You'll either need to rent a weapon and padding though or bring your own. That's in addition to the cost of the classes."
They spend a few minutes going over the prices and Miravea's shoulders drop a bit. She thanks the man for his time and she turns and *pauses* then pushes the door open. She'll have to figure out a way to make some gold.
