Sir Callen,
I write to you in hopes you are fairing well during these intense times. The reason I send this letter is for two-fold reasons, good reasons for a change. First of all, I notice Bentin struggling with his boots. I want to set up a private drive to purchase a set of sturdy boots , enchanted and enhanced for Bentin. He has been serving well in the Greatgaunt and has been walking diligently along the road since I arrived. I believe he needs long lasting boots, something comfortable to ease his strides. If any of your men would like to contribute, I will be taking care of holding the finances. I will also be speaking with other adventurers who wish to donate, as well.
The second reason, and I believe more importantly one, is Lord Marister has been looking for a way to assist the families of those who have fallen to the recent fiefdom, yet his resources are slim to none. I suggested we put together some sort of benefit for the fallen. Donations by adventurers, or anyone else with desire to help, while Bards across the Western Reach and beyond come to play and tell tales so that we may contribute to the families who suffered losses and need help to get back on their feet. We will accept food, clothing, and coin. Details more to come pending approval.
I am asking for the council of Greatgaunt to agree upon this before I put it into motion. You know how to contact me.
May Reason and Knowledge be your Guide,
Runa Rothgar.
