A number of missing persons posters appear around the city of Marsember. Nothing strikes you as out of the ordinary at first. Until you notice that the newer posters all seem to be of young children that have gone missing around town.
Local taverns whisper about possible causes.
Parents search the streets, and outside the city gates. Their haunting desperate calls can be heard at night..

By the fourth poster Castiellera stops, looking it over before retracing her steps to look at the others, each missing. Each poster for a different child, and gods know how many more flyers there were. Instantly her upbeat demeanor drops, covered by a shadow of concern. She hears a familiar cadence of dwarven footsteps near-by, but her eyes never once tear away from the poster, a look of determination painted in her eyes. "Looks like there is trouble left to be found. Shall we, then?"
Alarra Szarka, She Who Flirts With All, the Sharessan Cleric Castiellera "Cas" Ironsunder, Elven Magey Archer with an affinity for dwarves. Kahdar Smitehammer, Paladin of Moradin who would like if I played him more. Kithlienne "Kit" Spellsling, Tiny Finger Wiggler with merchant dreams.
Dagomar stops, follows Cas's eyes to the poster, and sighs.
"By the Hammer lass. Ye know as well as I, anything huntin children is gonna lead ta darkness." He rubs his beard a moment, finally shaking his head. "Bah! I cannae let such evil exist. I suppose it nae hurts ta ask around."
He looks around, taking notes on every child missing, descriptions of the child.
"This is gonna be a long hunt, lass. Make sure yer ready." He walks off to talk with the town guard, the parents, and every barkeep in the city.

Sylus can be seen patrolling the town proper every few nights, as well as wandering the surroundings, he speaks often with the guards around town, as well as various barkeeps. Rumor has it that the squire has even taken to a disguise here and there to blend in to more seedy areas.
Sylus Kelton - Follower of the Red Knight, RCMH Squire, First Royal Corps of Monster Hunters Planarnaut.
Mouse stops to look at the posters. Slipping into the shadows on the street she begins her search, stopping to ask people here and there about the children.
How do you face another day when all you can do is cry? How do you face another night when your heart is dying? How do you smile when all you can think of is why? How do you laugh when all you can hear is your own pain? How do you face the person who caused all this suffering? How do you forgive when they took the life of the man you call son?
Elvewyn walks through the streets, bouncing his black dhoom ball, by his direction it would be safe to assume he is heading for the Academy. He throws glances left and right and occasionally nods to the shady people he knows, has worked with and has done deals with. He walks straight past the posters at first, but, stops and takes a few steps backwards to look over the posters. Runes glow on his hood and his face is shrouded in darkness. He shakes his head. He turns on the spot looking around the immediate area, thinking. He draws out a piece of paper and writes on it in a beautiful, silver and flowing script. It reads:
"To all the loved ones of the lost and missing... I can assist you with Divination. I can attempt to Scry for the lost if you bring personal items of your loved ones. If you leave word for me at Alizarin Academy I will set up a room and a meeting." The letter is stamped with an open book which has a skull in the middle of it and EC in the centre of the skull.
He pits it, and many like it, to other letters and posters around the area.
