*Erynne sat by the fireplace in Eveningstar, the warm, soft, glow of the fire reflecting in glinting orange highlights that danced across her bronzed skin and russet hair, and playing in her glossy brown eyes. At her instigation, adventuring groups had set forth over the course of a single day of conflict and battle against Urbuchek's forces, taking the battle to their very lairs. "I'll be providing backup," she'd said. "Is this not a cooshy job for you?" she'd been asked, in effect. "Being ready to face any threat anywhere in the kingdom, under any circumstances, at a moments notice, sight unseen, on my own if need be, on the condition it stop an entire group in its tracks before I'll rise from my seat to meet it, with the fate of an entire group resting on my personal shoulders as their last chance to survive?" was the gist of her answer. "Yes, backup and rescue is cooshy." And her forethought had proven needful, as she'd been called on not for the purpose she'd planned, but to round out numbers in assault groups, twice.
As she sat again by the fire, she mused over the happenings of the day, and the courage and valor of those who'd sallied forth in the name of the various causes and purposes that motivated them. Justice, order, freedom, money, glory, crown, and nature, to name a few. So many had risked so much to bring the plan to fruition, some paying with their blood to see it through ...
//OOC: Those who participated in the above mentioned orc attacks are invited to post in this thread about their adventures.//

Eorfic stayed awhile in the shadows, just out of the light of the fire, reflecting on the days events. "Worrying that orcs of different tribes are being united" he pondered, absent-mindedly rubbing at some of the aches and wounds he had suffered during the day. A bandage covered his ribs and he still clutched slightly at them, wincing in pain occasionally. His clothes smelled of burnt smoke powder, and he imagined it would take a few days for the odour to leave his body and hair.
"Still hopefully it will curtail their activities for a while". With that he nodded to Erynne and any others present and walked out of the inn into the shadowy night.
As Kali walks wearily into the grove, she reflects on the happenings at the orc fort near Arabel. The signs of a coordinated effort from various tribes were evident. What that could mean to the sanctity of the wilds was not obvious, but a large gathering of the war-like humanoids could not be good. Hopefully with the culling of their numbers and the confiscation of their supplies, we have set them back on their plans....at least for now.

The day has come for Theravien. Sunny and promising. After praying and meditating, he went to Stonelands, reaching them timely. He fought quite capable melee orcs and proficient casters. Things went tricky once or twice, but with faith in his goddess he prevailed. Leader of these orcs was skilled, but blinded by rage... He turned that to his advantage. There was a door, locked, repealing. Inside he found a traumatized "Blade"... Who knows what he was put through... Yet, quickly he regain composure and looking ready to face any possible danger, marched out to his outpost.
Few ambushes on the way back... *Well soon the octopus will be out of it's tentacles*... He thought, as his right lip corner lifted into a satisfied smile....
In the distance, Triadic keep's turrets stood proudly over the Eveningstar...

*Around Cormyr, one fell swoop of adventurers slew nearly 300 orcs of various tribes. It was a long and violent day, and as the dust settled those that partook in the event felt courageous, strong, and united. Surely they had dealt a blow to an enemy of the land -they had struck a great blow to this seemingly warlike horde.*
*Elsewhere, in an orc cave recently ravaged. One armored orc walked amongst his advisors, surveying the carnage. A large silvery-blue blade across his back. He took a knee near a dead orc. A brute of a man, his face visciously marred by an adventurer's blade. He sighed and reached out a hand to close the orc's eyes.* "How many dead?" *His voice was thick and gravely as a few orcs uttered an answer. He nodded grimly.* "Many will die for our vision- I offered Cormyr a chance at peace. The tribes followed me into the Stonelands, we never attacked their Cormyr or her men. A few skirmishes over star metal- their scouting parties that attacked us first? They think this is war? They are butchers, the lot of them. Bring my the Ambassador, it is time we call on his services once again. Let the world know that if War is to Come. These Murderers. These Butchers attacked US first. They do not know war. But they will. All of them will."
*So as today- toasts are raised, cheers pour forth from taverns around Cormyr in toast of these people. Heralded as heroes, for now. Enjoy it and behold- for those that seek war when there was none? Those that reach into the flame will be burned by it. Let the Path to Embers begin, the spark turned to flame.*
Two heavily armoured men are seen walking across the streets of Arabel. Leaving the city by the West gates, a knight wearing a grey and blue attire with the symbol of House Zorastryl leads his fellow comrade dressed in a wonderful set of full plate and a purple cloak to the nearby orc encampement. A hour later or so, screams of a raging battle beetwen orcs and the two warriors can be heard to the West of the city. They are both seen leaving the battlefield sometime later, heavily bruised up but alive, leaving hundreds of orc corpses and a burning fortress behind them.
