On this exception: If someone were to rescue another party before visiting the dungeon for that week, are they able to revisit it? Or does this exception only apply if the person has already visited the dungeon?

If you went to rescue someone, then it doesn't count against your 1 visit per week.
However, you need to be certain these rules are being followed during the rescue:
-Monster encounters are kept to a minimum (the straightest path to the person needing to be rescued, as possible)
-No looting of any of the containers (your mission is the rescue and not gaining xp or gold from the dungeon)
-Leaving the area immediately after the rescue (no finishing or completing the dungeon)
If you do any or all of the above, your trip is considered "a visit" (and a rescue, lucky them!) and you will need to wait 1 week before revisiting the dungeon.
Additionally:
If you have to leave a dungeon, to get a rescue (or are being the one rescued) - that dungeon still counts as being visited that week (as in, you were apart of the original party). Your mission for the dungeon failed, and you need to leave with the rescue party.
Even further still, it's a good time to remind people that: (Though this wasn't the question from the OP- I'm going to address it here in regards to the subject: This isn't aimed at the writer for the OP but a reminder to the community of FRC over all.)
Staying dead on the ground in hopes that you will be discovered by a roaming walking adventurer (with no one to have seen it or running off to rescue you-because they were in your party doing the dungeon with you) is in violation of our rules. If you die from adventuring and there is no survivor from the battle alive in your party, you need to re-spawn in a promptly manner.

Even if containers are not looted? (e.g. Big Bad standing on a player's corpse)

Even if containers are not looted? (e.g. Big Bad standing on a player's corpse) When rescuing a person from a dungeon, you may clear the monsters up to the point that it requires safely raise the dead character. - Do not loot the body of the dead boss (Or bosses). (In this exception, it is fine to leave the body behind and let it disappear from the area cleaners. Don't touch it.) - Do not turn in quest rewards or items for any dungeon you had to rescue someone from. If you do the above, your visit will count towards your 1 weekly visit. The rule of thumb is this: Honor the spirit of the 1 dungeon a week rule. The spirit of the rule is to prevent people from returning to a location again and again to farm out the gold or exp of the location. We have a measurement of "how much is too much" because people need an actual number to cite for when they are asked "how slow do you go." When you are rescuing a fallen character, before or after you've officially visited a location- I ask you that you honor the spirit of the 1 week rule. You know when you're gaining the benefit of a location twice over. I trust in this community to know why we value role-play over grinding and xp. So role-play all the richness of the situation. Get that good rescuing tension in there. Happy Roleplaying. : ) And just in case this needs to be said (one more time): If you die and need rescue from a dungeon, it doesn't matter if you die at the beginning gates or the feet of the boss. Your dungeon run is a "failure". It counts towards your 1 visit per week. You need to leave the area after the rescue and return another time (after a week has passed.) This is the compromise for allowing someone to travel vast distances to bring an entire new party of people to rescue you. This is the compromise for not having the dragon eat your body for lunch. <3
