Greetings,
I'm new to the server so a few things may still be lost on me, so if this is written somewhere in the depths of this forum I do apologize. However, I seem to be having a problem leveling up. I'm going from level 1 to level 2, standard ranger, and upon completion of the process I get a kick back from the server that says, "Character has too many feats." And then de-levels me.
Am I missing something?

That seems really unusual, and I'm not entirely certain as to what the cause of that may be. Any ideas Hoary Hunter? [Edit: Got it sorted ] [Edit 2: Everyone is so fast! o.o ]

I just heard from our FRC Quality Assurance staff member Fluffy the Mad (who has permission to continue the dialouge in this particular post from me- from here on). Here's what I learned: It means the player has overrides or custom content for another server loaded and it's interfering with FRC. They'll have to make themselves a folder free of the custom content before they can create a valid FRC character.

This is generally caused by having Overrides that grant feats that either do not exist on the server or aren't generally given at that specific level of the class (Some overrides for Ranger include granting them Point blank shot / Rapidshot instead of two weapon fighting feats). So clear out your override folder if you haven't tried such already. It's good that it stopped you from leveling up, if it hadn't you would be unable to log in as that character again as the server would consider it not legal.
There's also an issue with NWN:EE that it doesn't unload custom content on leaving a single player module or a different server with haks so always regard the game, I've had to help a few people with bugged characters leveling up due to this in the last couple of months.
